MAX He sat outside the director’s office. Kole was already inside. He could hear Kole yell to the director. Something about unfair and stupid. Two girls had found lonely boy locked up in the large trash can. His name was Aaron by the way. Max never knew his name. It was always lonely boy, because he didn't have any friends. But now hearing his name out loud, Max felt guilt. Liam and Flinder both left and now he had do deal with his s**t alone. Aaron’s parents came to school and took him home. His eyes were red from crying, making Max wish he never had done what he did. Kole came out of the office and walked away without even looking at Max. Great, now his only friend in school was angry at him. ‘Max Johnson.’ Said the director. Max followed him inside and sat down on a wooden chair. ‘It was all my fault.’ he said. ‘No, it wasn’t. Aaron told us what happened. It was Kole who pushed him inside. It was Kole who took his backpack. He is been suspended for two weeks. You will get detention for the same two weeks and you have to apologize to Aaron.’ ‘I will do that, director.’ Max said. ‘But I have to tell you, it was me who was kicking the trash can until lo, eh, I mean Aaron cried.’ ‘Aaron never talked about that. Probably because he didn't know it was you. Still, I'm not going to suspend you. Max, what you did was wrong, but you admitted, unlike Kole.’ ‘I'm very sorry of my actions, director. I will apologize to Aaron and try my best to stay out of trouble.’ Max smiled at him. He didn't mean anything he said. Where ever he went, trouble would always find him. And now with Liam playing with him, he didn't have much of a choice. The only one who was sure he was good, was Flinder. He still needed to talk to her. She left him all alone for two weeks. Where has she been? Why did she come back? Leaving the director’s office, he went straight to his car. Yes, he was skipping school again, but he now had a good reason. He was going to see Aaron. Speeding away from school, he drove like five minutes till he was at Aaron's house. He only knew where he lived, because he followed him home a while back. Now staring at the house, he wasn't sure what to say to Aaron. He closed his eyes. Flinder I need your help. ‘You called for me?’ A scream from Max’ mouth, made Flinder laugh out loud. ‘Why did you do that?’ He asked her. She was sitting next to him, still wearing the same outfit like she had this morning. Only now she looked tired and sad. ‘I never been called like this before. How did you do that?’ Max face turned red. ‘I was thinking about you. I closed my eyes and asked for your help.’ ‘Oh.’ Her face also turned red now. She looked out of her window. ‘Why do you need my help?’ ‘In this house lives Aaron, the boy I locked up this morning in the trash can.’ ‘I remember.’ Her voice gave away she was disgusted by it. ‘So, he was found and he told what happened and now I'm here to apologize. I have no idea what to say to him.’ ‘Are you feeling guilty?’ ‘Yeah, I think I am.’ ‘Guilt of doing it or guilt because you got caught?’ Shit. He didn't even think of that. Flinder was watching him struggle. ‘I don't know.’ he finally said. ‘Don't tell him that.’ Her eyes were really sad right now. ‘Are you okay?’ he asked her. ‘No, I'm not. But-but I came her for you. Not for me. Just tell Aaron the truth. Say that you feel guilty and you feel sorry. Just talk to him. Maybe he is a nice person.’ ‘Can you please walk with me to the door? I don't want to be alone.’
