The figure approaching us pushed back the hood of her cloak. She was absolutely gorgeous. Long, brown, flowing hair fell down her back in gentle waves. Her eyes glowed a deep purple. Her skin was flawless and her figure a perfect blend of curves. If it wasn’t for her eyes, she would be able to pass as a fashion model. “I apologize for the protection spells, but you are late.” Her voice rang with power. John climbed out from under the tarp and stood with his head lowered. “I apologize, my lady. We were delayed due to unforeseen circumstances.” Her eyes glowed brighter and she turned to me. “I see.” Pain flashed across her eyes before she turned away. “Follow me. We should get you both in to drier clothes before we talk.” John quickly grabbed the tarp and we followed her through the wood
