I am his mate

Chapter eleven

Its 4 am and I haven't slept much, I attempted to catch sleep but very bad images kept coming to my head. Im so worried I just decided to stay in the office instead of going to the bedroom everything in there would just remind me of her. I love the way she smells and the way her soft snores serve as a lullaby. I keep thinking to myself, I should’ve marked her. I take deep breathes and shut the office lights off to see if I find myself going asleep. After about thirty minutes when I’m seated in my comfortable chair staring at the moon, I hear a very soft wood creek distantly. I think to myself who could be up at this time I sent everyone to bed and that only makes me wonder if this person could be involved with my mates disappearance.

Im putting my shoes on to go after whoever it is and I find myself looking through the window to see Brian meeting with Johnny, they are good friends but what could they be doing at this hour. I have high hopes that if I follow them it will lead me to Emma. So I Open the window and right before I exit the office’s window I mind link Jack. 

“Our plan has to get put in motion now! Come quick!”

I don't have time to wait as I cant loose their track. They start walking towards the far very very far back of the pack home. No one ever goes that way. Thats where the farming happens and where we have our butcher and where the dungeons are. Oh crap, did someone search there? I freak out as I wonder if I am too late at this point sure of the fact that he has something to do with Emma missing. I mind link Jack to let him know where I am and crawl on the roof of the sheds as I wait to see where they are going, cause if gods forbid I am wrong not only would she still be missing but I would have accused my brother of something very wrong. 

I feel someone close to me and I to my surprise I turn around to find not only Jack but Valentina as well. “She insisted in coming” comes his reply at my face through mind link. I nod without saying anything and point to the men that are about two blocks away near the butcher. They are not moving from the entrance, Im thinking about what could they possibly be waiting for. Is she in there? When Valentina pats my shoulder. I turn around to see the urgency in her eyes. Does she have to pee? I look at Jack and he is staring at her with curiosity. She touches her nose tip with her finger and makes a heart with her hands I open my eyes in shock. 

She says in a very soft way “Mate!”

MATE?! What the f**k? What does she mean by mate? She has seen Brian and Johnny before, if they were her mate  she would've know before right now. That leads me to believe someone  new is approaching. I type on my phone “Mask your scent” she reads it and leaves to come back a couple seconds after all covered in mud. That should do for now. Her mate? Thats all I’m thinking who is her mate? It cant be someone from the pack she would've seen them by now. We stay there still and quiet. 

About three minutes later finally this tall black haired man appears in the front of the butcher’s door. He seems confused as he stares at both men. I cant recognize him. Is he a rogue? What is he doing in my pack? And what type of relationship do they all have going on. 

Suddenly they start walking again and heading to the dungeons. Good if they are heading there that means she is alive. I sigh in relief. I tell Jack and Valentina that we need proof of whats going on before anything happens. They nod. The three men hurry into the dungeons and We follow again quietly and stay at the entrance. Waiting to see what we can hear.

Emma’s POV

I wake up to a bigger slap this time. My eyes in shock. Im looking at Johnny, Brian, Jospeh and a strange man. I touch my face without saying anything yet feeling terrified. My plans of escape were much harder to achieve with four men in the cell. I sit down and notice that my hands are untied. No chains. Their mistake. They still planned on killing me so I could die but I would die trying to live. I had made my peace with it. Out of the four men I looked straight in the eyes of the only one of alpha blood. I could feel him. He was full with anger and pride. 

-“See what you’ve made us do?”

I continued looking at him without saying or expressing anything. 

-“You only had to wait four months, after that it wouldn't have mattered. Now you have left me no choice.”

-“What will happen to me?”

-“You have to die”

-“wouldn't you rather hold me hostage four months?”

-“Im afraid that is no longer a possibility”

-“Mark will be taking care of you.” As he pointed at a tall man with black hair. I could see the devilish look in his face. 

-“what do you mean?”

-“not to worry my dear you wont feel a thing.” Johnny then instructed Joseph to bring the chloroform again, He went to grab it and I was getting ready to shift when I hear a loud thud. Suddenly I could hear her in my brain. 

-“Emma, chill we are here. Act cool.” 

 I sigh, he assumes Im giving up as I stare to the floor. He then yells at Joseph. “Whats taking so long?” Johnny asks stressed. There came no one’s response and I started to feel hope. I looked at them and said “Maybe you should go check on him. What if he fell on it?” Johnny sighed and gestured with his face for Brian to go check it out and as he was approaching the corner came a whimper. Out of nowhere this beautiful wolf with golden hair and black eyes appeared growling. Three more wolfs behind him yet I only recognized one. Valentina’s coat is gray and she has hazel eyes. The two men still in the room face away from me and I take this chance to shift. Johnny, Brian, and Mark are now shifted as well Mark embraces me and puts me to a wall I see Leo confronting Johnny and he begins running away and Leo follows him. Valentina takes Brian and is fighting like the wonderful warrior I’ve always known she is. I focus on Mark as I know he is trying to snap my neck. I throw myself at him pushing him down he rolls over and bitts me. I get up and he picks me and throws me against the silver chains. They burn my back but I come back stronger and before he has a minute to react I am standing in his neck. Jack has now appeared after snapping Jospeh’s head who had woken up. He helps me get a passed out Mark off the floor and when he is about to snap his neck I stop him and ask him to place him in the cell. Killing him would be to easy. 

Valentina has captured Brian fiercely and is so focused on destroying him that she is about to kill him I demand “Stop! Put him in another cell”- I ask although it was more of a demand- she looks at me and tries to take control of her body again. Her wolf was beyond angry. They chain him in a different cell. I look at Jack and Valentina 

-“where is Leo?” 

“him and Ivan went after Johnny” I take a deep breathe and tell them to follow me. It’s time to find my mate. I’ve been away from him for way too long and I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t eaten anything but I am not in the mood for someone else hurting him again.
