Chapter sixteen

Leo’s POV

As I go inside the dungeons I spot Johnny. He is in his cell as Emma left him. I cant help but feel sorry, its not good its never something good to have to put your brother into the wolfs mouth -almost literally- I open the cell and walk in. 

He is sitting in the bed of the cell. His head is down and his shoulders relaxed. He barely lifts his head up and when he sees its me he brings it back down as if signaling his disappointment in his actions. 

-“Johnny, why?”

“ why what?”“Why everything! Why cant you look at me? Why do this? Why to me? Why to Emma? This is f****d up man and you know it! I want answers”“I don’t really know what to say, like its just hard you know? Watching you not only get the power, the one that we were both working so hard towards but also find your love, find a Luna? Really? Like I don’t know I guess I got consumed by everything, the jealousy. Im sorry” “You know you f****d up right? Why didn’t you just approach me, talk to me...”“Well when these people approached me it didn’t seem necessary, I was convinced this was the solution.”“The superiors are arriving soon”“I know, what will you say?”“I don’t know”“I understand”After a couple of minutes of silence I got up and left the cell. My head was all over the place what was I supposed to do... I grabbed Emma’s hand, she was waiting for me outside. There was alot to talk about and as Luna of this pack her voice mattered.

We headed into the pack house and went to the office. Emma was talking about everything and all I could do was think about the conversation I had with my brother. He just seemed different. I couldn’t see the bad things he had done. I could only see him. It hurt.

-“what are you thinking about, love?” Emma asked.

-“Johnny, I just don’t know” I replied.

-“oh rest easy love, the superiors will be here tomorrow.” She hugged me.

It definitely made me feel more at ease. There was something about Emma that always made me feel at home.

It wasn’t long before she started yawning and said she really needed rest. She told me she was going to bed and not to be long. I nodded.

After Emma left the office I mind linked Ivan, I had to speak with him. Soon after, Ivan arrived at the office. We talked about our plan for Optum town, it had to be done soon after the superiors left but I would take advantage of the situation to let them know about our plan while they were here. I wanted to talk with him about Johnny but it didn’t seem appropriate. 

I dismissed Ivan and went to bed, as I was arriving to the bedroom I felt a quick touch on my shoulder and I turned around, it was Valentina. 

-“I. I wanted to talk to you” she said under her breath. 

-“how may I be of service?”

-“well Emma said she was staying and asked me what I wanted to do. If I wanted to stay too would I be welcomed to?”

-“most definitely! You are emma’s best friend. I would love for her to have you here with her.”

She smiled.

“Ok, there is something else I wanna talk to you about. When we first got here I think I smelled my mate but I haven’t been able to find him and I think that in the riot today I smelled him again”

I winched a little. My head immediately went there.

-“Do you think it was someone that tried invading?”

-“ I don’t know but I had to tell you.”

-“you did the right thing”

I touched her shoulder and told her to go rest I would keep an eye out. I wonder if she had told Emma and if so why hadn’t Emma mentioned anything.

I finally went into the bedroom, and there she was laying there peacefully and once again my brain went blank. I really loved her being here and that Valentina had told me that she decided to stay. Because the fact that she told valentina only meant she was set in her decision. I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower all I could think of was the fact that  Her parents and mine were all here but that was too soon of a date for the wedding. Oh god I want to marry her so bad. I went into bed finally and laying next to her feeling the warmth come out of her body, I couldn’t help it I fell safe I didn't think about anything bad and just like that I was asleep.
