Chapter eight

Chapter eight 

We woke up to the sound of the alarm. It was 8 am. I sat on the corner of the bed and stared at the floor for a couple of seconds, then I looked at my mate and he was stretching in the bed. I was able to see his red stitch so that reminded me of going to the hospital. “Morning beautiful!” He said, bringing me back to earth. “Morning babe” was my response. He blushed and it felt good. I loved having that power over someone. He said he would shower first and I let him, he went into the bathroom. I took the time to do some yoga and going out into the balcony to breathe some fresh air, and it was at that point that everything got weirder. As I was walking out into the balcony I heard Leo’s mother fighting with Johnny.

“Johnny this is ridiculous”

“Mother I am telling you, this is all a plot. We have to do something before they marry.”

“I am no one and neither are you to stand in the middle of his happiness, if that is what he wants. Thats is what he should do.” 

I saw the man that had been in Valentina’s wrangler walk into the balcony. Every time I saw him I would get this weird vibe from him.

“Mrs. Russell, with all due respect you should at least look into it.” Was all he said.

“Thank you, for you input Brian but this is the end of this topic. 

He was about to protest when Leo walked up behind me and said “watchu doing love?” Grabbing me by the waist. I loved the feeling but they had all heard someone speak and ran inside of their bedroom before they got caught. 

“Just admiring the view” - another lie, I hated lying to him but at least this time I had a name. His name is Brian. 

We walked inside and he said he was heading to the office and that once I was ready to grab him so we could go to the hospital. I nodded and gave him a quick kiss in the lips before I went into the bathroom. I undressed and as I got into the shower I thought -what the hell is Johnnys problem with me? And why do they wanna stop Leo and I from marrying?- Once again I was full of questions. 

After about 20 mins I got out of the shower, to find some skinny jeans and a beautiful white short sleeve shirt with golden buttons,  white sandals and golden earrings. On the side there was a little hand written note saying. 

“Im sorry about yesterday’s clothe. I had Solenna go out and get you some new clothe. Maybe after we can go together. Love - Leo” and a little heart on the side of his name. Wow was his hand writing cute. Mine was barely understandable so hand written notes were a little out of the question. 

I dressed up, put my hair in a high pony tail and applied some lip gloss. Being luna requires a-lot of dressing up. I went down stairs and into the kitchen. I poured two bowls of oatmeal and some crackers and went to Leo’s office. I entered and he smiled when he saw me. We had our breakfast together and while we were doing that he told me he’d like for me to be announced as the future Luna of the pack. I nodded mostly in understanding. I still thought everything was going on very fast but I guess that’s what happens when your mate is an alpha. Thats when I realized that if I had payed more attention to my training for Luna I’d be more prepared for this. 

We finished and headed outside to the hospital. When we were walking out of the pack house he stopped, grabbed my hand and pulled me close to him until he was holding my waist with one of his hands. Everyone started gathering around when there were about 2000 people easily. He began “my beloved pack members, I know that most of you have been wondering about Emma and Valentina and Today, it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you Dr. Emma White your future Luna.” The crowd went wild and started clapping and celebrating. He looked at me warmly as if encouraging me to speak. So I stepped forward and said “Blue moon pack, I thank you for your warm welcome and from this day forward I vow to follow the principles for which we stand.” Everyone went crazy again. I was excited. I felt euphoria as everyone started howling and I felt the need to howl too, however I didn't feel completely comfortable doing it until I saw Leo howl too. I joined them. It felt so right. It felt like home. 

After everyone had dispersed Leo hugged me. When we parted he grabbed my face with one hand and while caressing my chin he simply said “Gods, you are perfect.” I blushed. He kissed me passionately and I couldn't help but love every second of it. 

He grabbed my hand and we started walking towards the hospital. On the way there were several people that had stopped to salute and I had met some nice people. When we got to the hospital I went in through the emergency room. The people bowed at us. A Doctor approached us and I said “hello, we beed a bed for him and a triage kit” he nodded and said and said “Alpha, Luna I am peter what brings you in?” While walking us to the private room. I smiled at peter he seemed very nice, when we walked inside of the room I instructed Leo to remove his shirt for us to observe the wounds. He took a quick look at the stitch I was referring to and said it seemed irritated that maybe he was getting an infection and that some test would have to be run. He seemed to know what he was doing so I was planning on letting him handle the case. They drew blood took some scans of him and brought him to the room about 5 mins later he came into the room and said that Leo had developed an infection on that stitch but that some antibiotics should help him with no problem. He gave him a prescription and sent us off. I was a little uneasy because I was unable to see the exams myself but I shook it off. 

We got to the pack house and I went and grabbed a glass of water and was brining it back for him to start the antibiotic when I heard the loud yells in the office. Leo and Johnny were in a heated argument. Ivan was standing outside of the door and looked at me. 

“Sorry Luna I was instructed not to let you in” 

“By whom?”

“Johnny”

“Please move out of my way” -  and he did.

I was done with all this crap. I went into the office without even attempting to knock. When Johnny saw me come in, his eyes turned black. He was furious. I didn't care. I handed Leo his glass of water opened the container he had in his desk and gave him a pill. I Said “drink up” and then turned around to face Johnny “What the hell is your problem with me?” I heard Leo choke with the water a bit and Johnny stared at me. “I am asking you a question, did you suddenly turn mute?” That was enough for him to build up his anger again and began yelling at me 

“You! You are my problem. This is all your fault! If it weren't for you his time would be up.” I tilted my head “what are you talking about?” I was completely confused. “Oh, he hasn't told you? He chuckled maliciously. “Spit it out” was my response. I hadn't looked at leo but my whole body was feeling betrayed for some reason. 

“Without you, his time as alpha would have ended in four months.”

It clicked in me. Thats why we were going so fast. I stood there my face without emotion. I looked at him and I said “oh yeah that, yeah I knew” Leo had been silent up to that moment but I caught him by surprise too. I could see the expression on both their eyes. 

“Are you done Johnny? Now if I may have a private conversation with my mate I’d appreciate it.” Johnny was pissed and he stormed out of the office. When the doors were shut, I turned to face Leo. The disappointment in my face. “You used me”.
