Chapter thirteen

Emma’s POV

I open my eyes to find my mate holding me tight by the waist, Im sleeping on my back and he is on his side, he has one of his legs on me. I cant help but smile and it hits me, Im filled with happiness as I suddenly realize that I decided to stay. I am now officially Blue Moon pack’s Luna. I start remembering what had happened the day before with Johnny and his people and Suddenly my head is filled with ideas on how to make them pay. Im glad I didn't let them get killed. That would’ve been too easy. They have pay the right way. 

Leo wakes up and looks at me. I smile at him, and he gives me a light kiss. He then notices how he is wrapped around me. He quickly untangles himself and chuckles. “I didn't want to take the risk apparently” referring to me being taken away from him again, he says and we laugh. He sits up and I call Solenna and ask her to please have breakfast brought to Leo’s office. When I hang up with her, I turn to Leo and tell him, “you know we will have to talk to your parents before anything else happens”. He nods but seems annoyed, I continue “we should contact the superiors” his eyes now wide open and he is fully awake and paying attention to me. “ you are right I should, their crime was too grave for it to be punishable by us.” I can see his mind is still working through the details and I add “are you gonna do it before or after speaking to your parents?” “After” he says which tells me he is gonna give them a chance to plead Johnny’s case. “Ok” comes my simple response. I give him a kiss on the cheek and head to the bathroom to get ready, leaving him sitting in the bed with his thoughts. 

When I get out of my hot shower, I see that there is about 40 bags of clothe from different stores in the floor and he is picking stuff out - they are girl’s clothe. I look at him confused with a towel wrapped around me and another one in my hair. “What is all this?” He looks at me and smiles. “I asked valentina to go shopping for you and get you and her a-lot of different stuff”. So I sit down still in my towel in the bed and he starts showing me stuff. I mean Valentina is like my best friend of course she knows exactly what I like so she got a-lot of super cute things. 

I end up picking some jeans a white shirt and white shoes. I leave my hair down and while I'm getting ready Leo is taking a shower. His phone rings and I head over to it he has a text message from my father. Saying “Thank you Leo, we’ll talk soon”. Hmm I wonder what it is about, yet I refuse invading his phone to check on it. No way am I going to cross that line.

When he gets out of the shower Im all done and I decide to tell him his phone rang. Without any worry in the world he went and checked and then told me 

“oh its just your dad replying l, I let him know you were alright.” 

“Whoa, wait you told him what happened?” 

“Of course, why wouldn't I?”

 I just stared at the floor a little in shock but in silence “and what did he say?” 

“He was relieved you are ok” 

“no I mean what did he say to you when you contacted him?” 

“Are you wanting to know if he told me, you told them what had happened between us?” 

“Hmm yes?”

 “Yes he did” 

“ok?”

“Im just thrilled you decided to stay”

I smiled at him after that. I was happy too.

We left the bedroom and went to the office where our breakfast was awaiting. We sat there and enjoyed our breakfast while talking. We were about done when Leo said “I guess its time to talk to them.” I nodded and he called his parents.

I sat comfortably in a chair not in front of leo but more to his side, we were chatting about some remodels I had seen needed to be done through the pack and Approximately 10 mins had passed when there was a knock, “come in” was leo’s response. He shifted his sight from facing me to facing his parents who had just entered the room. Although retired his father still had alpha blood and I could feel his strong presence. They were not happy, yet they came bargaining their sons fate and that was more than understandable. 

When they were seated comfortably, Claire Leo’s mother directed herself to me. 

“Can you please tell us what happened?” 

I tilted my head confused as to why I out of everyone in the room had to explain myself, shouldn't it be the other way around? however out of respect I simply said “ your son kidn*pped me, drugged me and planned to kill me, just so he could become alpha. He even made some type of deal with rogues.”

I took a deep breathe and tried to relax. Leo was angry. And Michael turned to look at Leo, “how did you two end up in the middle of the pack if she was being held in the dungeons?”

“How do you know that?” I asked him.

He ignored my question and remained glaring at Leo.

“I asked you a question Michael” I stood up. 

Leo wasn't speaking but he stood up beside me. 

Michael then looked at me. “We went to see him this morning”

I was beyond furious!

“So now you’ve decided to insult us by questioning what happened?- said Leo with such broken heart that all I could do was feel for him. 

“No its not like that” Claire stood up trying to calm the situation.

“Then how is it?” I simply added.

“Its just there are always two sides to a story.” She was looking at the floor-This is unbelievable- I thought.

“Ok, its settled then. The superiors will be contacted and they can decide Johnny’s fate.” Leo had made his mind. 

His dad’s face turned red at how furious he was but Leo stood firmly. 

“I thought we were gonna solve this as a family” Michael added

“You threw that chance out the window, when you came into my office demanding answers from us. As if we were in the wrong. You had the opportunity to plead his case, but this was enough.” 

I was shocked at Leo’s words yet I remained expressionless. 

“You may leave now” Leo added. 

Claire left the office crying again; Michael on the other hand just took a deep breathe and left. 

The minute they closed the door Leo sat in his chair he seemed defeated as if it had taken a great amount of strength to face his parents. I sat on his lap, gave him a kiss in the forehead and simply said. “Love, lets talk and get ready to face the pack.”

He nodded and hugged me. “Can you give me a minute I’ll contact the superiors first” I nodded and left his office. “Be back in 30 was what I said before closing the door.” 

I went in search of Valentina, wanting to talk to her about everything that had happened. I knocked and walked into her bedroom to find my best friend all defeated in her bed. 

“What’s wrong val?”

“Of all the people” she said as soon as she saw me while she tried cleaning her face.

“Of all the people that could've been my mate it had to be him!” 

I knew exactly what she was talking about.

“Oh val Im sorry. What are you planning on doing?

“What are my options Em?”

“You could accept him and wait for him to complete his sentencing because Leo is contacting the superiors as we speak or you could reject him and wait for your second chance mate”

She scratched her head and tears fell again.

“You know what the worst part is?”- she said

“What?”

“I wanted to keep all the clothe Leo made me get you” 

We laughed a lot. 

We shared a-lot of things so it was pretty funny for her to say that. 

“You can borrow anything you want”

She smiled at me and I hugged her. 

“Im gonna reject him”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes I could never love someone who would hurt you”

I nodded understanding her. “Then, I’ll be right by your side through it all” 

“Love you em” she said while smiling at me.
