I just sat there. Not saying a word, but I could feel my cheeks turning red from his last comment. When he saw me staring, he continued. "I know this may seem weird, but don't knock it till you try it," he said to his dunking his crust in his soda.
This seemed like the perfect opportunity to lighten the topic, so I just asked him, "Why do you think Candice brought me a soda in the first place?" as I picked up one of the crusts and dunked it before taking a bite.
