The Ultimate Test
Once upon a time, there was a man... I am kiding you didn´t actually think it would start like that right? This is the actual start... Welcome to the story of a man who did not believe in anything or anyone, a man with no morals and no hopes, so how does this become the hero? Well he is not a hero that is for sure but no one is a hero until you actually know what you need to fight for, the man´s name is Morgan Jones, 30 year´s old. He is one of those sceptic to the bone type of guy and unfortunatelly he grew up in a family with a "psychic" grandmother and a mother who, according to him, followed the same path as her mother. They always wondered how he was born so strange and different (compared to them) but never got an answer to that question because he grew apart as soon as he began to gain a consciousness, they were sweet and loving, he was dark, cold and closed to everyone even himself sometimes. They were always curious to every chapter of their lifes and he was not interested in anything but himself. Around August of some year he snapped at his mother, saying unforgiving things, "I never want to see your "witchy" crap ever again!!" - Said Morgan in anger He left never to be seen again by his family, bought a house very far away and closed himself from everyone and everything. Morgan wasn´t always like this, like a robot with no feelings he has a story behind this sadness and this coldness and yes you guessed it i am going to tell that story. Around the time Morgan was fifteen years old he started to really know his father, when i say "really know", i mean those times where you go fishing, camping, playing some sort of sports with your father, those times where you really really get to know his persona and the things that make him who he is. Morgan was intrigued by his father because he was so different from his mother, he liked to ride bikes, he enjoyed some chess from time to time, in fact he was amazing at it, which was even more impressing to Morgan. "How do you like mom?" - Said Morgan in the most inocent way possible. "Your mom is just as good or even better than me at many things, she made me enjoy life aswell and made me like myself more u know!" - Said his father in almost tears. "Yeah but you seem so different, so alive and concentrated on the things you love" "Im glad you recognize my love because i really want to pass that on to you!" - Said in utter joy. Morgan knew right there and then that he loved his father because he had no regrets on knowing him in a more personal way, he fell connected to someone for the first time. One night, he was sleeping at his father´s house and the door rings waking him up from his "deep" sleep, it was so dark but never the less he wanted to get up to see what was going on, and fortunatelly he wasn´t one of those scared of the dark type of kids he always felt the courage inside him, so he got up from the bed and put his feet on his fluffy yellow slippers as he walked to the stairs that led to the first floor where his father supposedly was, nothing he saw or heard until he got to the stairs and went down a few steps. "You need to listen to me, you are in danger let me help you!" - Some man by the door said with a very low voice and fast pace. "Listen, i have put with a lot over the years and can´t let this crap in here and bother me again alright? I am done!" - Said father in an angry voice. Morgan heard begging from the man, whom he couldn´t see, begging for him to listen but his father just slammed the door shut with zero regrets. As soon as this happened, he ran up the steps into his room, threw himself to the bed making the tiny cute flippers to fly across the room. Next morning Morgan woke up from a wonderfull sleep and went to talk to his dad but he was no where to be found, he thought he would be in the kitchen making breakfast but he wasn´t and at first Morgan was angry because he really wanted some delicious homemade pancakes but as soon as he realized that his father was taking a while, the anger turned into concern, the concern into fear and fear into nothing, just pure old nothing. A few hours passed and Morgan called his mother on the telephone, that was in the house, thinking that the call was from his father her mother took very long and a few calls to respond, but when she did Morgan explained the situation and went to her house. The whole ride home he wondered, questioned what was happening to his father that was so bad that he left him without saying goodbye or even an explanation, after asking his mom he didn´t get any information on the why so he started getting angry all the time, he was losing minute by minute the one and true connection that he ever felt and even young as he was he couldn´t be himself, because that would be less painfull than to realize that he wouldn´t feel that connection or share it ever again. Fifteen years passed and he never knew the answer, driffted further and further away, ruining every relationship he had, screwing women just for kicks and taking advantage of easy weak people who didnt´t deserve it. Until one day he had a dream.
