Out here on this porch, With feet as planted as syringe on soft bum, I have a dwelling made of this spot. My eyes pierce through the now scanty street, As it had done for days now. Hoping to catch a glimpse of Gift. Gift, a gift to this world. Blessed with a smile worthy of shutter clicks and stares without blinks. She is a maiden, fairer than just allures. She has that charm stronger than juju, She wears beauty so well, the weak mind will call it voodoo. Gift! I have known her feet to grace the unworthy stage that this street is. I have seen the sway of her hips be a seed of confusion, Planted to lead astray as she moves in delectable cadence. I know that when the clock ticks into the 6th hour after noon, she should be expected. So why do I tarry to my yawns and ooze of futile dreams. Where is the present I'd love to have? Oh! My Gift. Tomorrow is another day to seek you
