Answering the urgent call of the Alpha that night, the whole pack was gathered at the townhall, wondering why the late night call urgent and what the meeting was about. They knew it wasn't going to be good news, it never was, at least not recently. They all gathered and waited in anticipation until the Alpha and his right hand arrived and when he did, as predicted it was a bad news, worse than they were expecting it to be.
As soon as the Alpha announced that his Luna had been taken and is nowhere to be found, fear and panic overtook the pack. Their fear heightened. They knew if it was easy for the Alpha's Luna to be taken, then it was much easier for them to be a victim to these unknown enemies too. The hall was filled with fearful grumbles and noise of panic. It took the Alpha a while to be able to calm the noise down again.
"I know you all are afraid and angry. Trust me, I'm angry too. She's not just your Luna. She's mine, my Luna, my wife and the mother of my child....." He paused and looked around the crowd but couldn't see Diamond. He sighed softly and continued. "They have crossed the line. We are no longer going to be forced on the defensive anymore. We are going to take action and I promise you, we will bring the Luna back and we will not lose...not to them or anyone else" He stated as convincely as he could.
The Alpha stood there in front of the whole pack, making his speech with his best poker face. He knew he had no chance to slip up and show how scared he was or how uncertain he was. If his pack was to catch a glimpse of his fear or uncertain, it would disrupt everything and the peace. It was a recipe for disaster. He needed to act strong and show them strength even in his current state.
"As a first step to resolve and counter this issue, the Alpha and I have decided to put together and create an elite group of wolves, best of the best, who we can send on a rescue mission and source for intel. Rest assured that we will find the Luna and bring her back and these enemies won't have a chance to attack us without our knowing anymore" Tessa added and glanced at the Alpha.
The reaction of the pack members was expected. They didn't seem all that convinced. It was clear they were tired of the promises that wasn't getting fulfilled. But they had no choice but to trust the Alpha and his right hand. If anyone could protect them, it was them. They accepted the decision for the night, took the command of the Alpha telling them to stay on guard and to assist in getting back the Luna. Everyone returned to their homes, scared for their safety and the safety of their families.

Kieran went in search of Diamond as soon as the pack meeting was over. He was worried about her during the whole time the meeting was in progress. Her not being present there with them made him more worried. He had searched all the places he could think of but couldn't find her until he thought of a familiar place he hadn't checked. He made his way to the clocktower and on getting there, he looked up at the top and saw a figure, a silhouette of someone under the almost full moon, sitting there. He knew it could only be her.
He went in and climbed his way over to the top. He caught her familiar scent on almost getting to the top. Apart from her scent, her emotions were strongly felt too and it got stronger as Kieran got closer. He felt her sadness, fear and heartbreak. As soon as he got to the top, he brought out his phone and texted the others that he had found her and told them their location. Done with his texting, he tucked his phone into his jacket pocket, shifted his gaze to her and sighed.
"I see you've found my spot" He commented, making his way over to where she was sitting by the edge, few steps in front of him. She said nothing, neither did she move an inch or turne around to look at him. Kieran proceeded and got to where she was. "I come up here to hide or get away from things alot" He added, sitting down next to her by the edge, both their legs dangling down from the edge. "Hey" He said softly.
She turned her face to him slowly. "Hey" She said, almost whispering with a parched throat. Her eyes were red from crying and tears were rolling down both her cheeks. He could easily tell she had been crying for a long time. Seeing her in that state broke him. He hated seeing her upset, sad or angry. He always felt it on a different level.
"Hey D" He said with a more worried look, reaching for her face. "It's going to be alright, we are going to find her" He stated, wiping the tears off her face with his thumb.
"I'm scared Kieran" She voiced her fear. "I'm scared she might already be...."
"No she isn't. She's still alive. If she isn't then we would have found her body. They only took her and we'll get her back. Don't worry, she's safe" He assured her, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into him, her head resting on his shoulder. "We are here for you...i'm here for you"
"Thanks Kieran" She sniffled feeling better and assured. She had no idea why, but Kieran comforting her and assuring her seemed to work like a charm. She trusted his words easily and it calmed her.
"Of course" He replied just before they heard footsteps approaching from behind. From the scents, they could tell it was their friends.
They climbed up on the roof and began making their way toward them. reluctantly, Diamond took her head off his shoulder but not before they all had seen them in that position. "Hey guys" Diamond turned to face them and greeted with a low voice.
"Are you okay?" Raven asked with a worried look, sitting on the right hand side next to her bestfriend. The others sat down also and they ended up sitting in a row on the edge of the roof.
"I'll be fine" Diamond nodded.
"We are here for you if you need anything, Diamond" Kreed pointed out.
"Thanks you guys" She forced a smile.
"That's what friends are for" Killian stated
"Don't worry Diamond, we'll find your mother" Ace added.
"How do we know who took her? Or do you guys think it's the same person that attacked Raven's aunt?" Killian asked.
"No...I don't think so, and Diamond's mom is still alive" Ace replied
"How do you know that?" Kreed asked with a curious look, same as the others as they had their eyes fixed on Ace.
"I've read a lot of books on wars and battle's strategies..."
"Nerd alert" Kieran and Killian teased simultaneously.
"Idiots! Let him finish" Kreed shook his head at them. "Go on Ace" He added
"Well for one, Raven's aunt was killed and her body was left behind which means two things, one, she was irrelevant to them or two, they wanted to use her as a statement. But Diamond mother's body wasn't found which means two things also. One, she's taken because they want use her to negotiate or two, they need something, maybe from her or from someone else. Hence why her body was not found. If no call comes in for her negotiation, then they are getting what they want from her. But for now she's still alive" He explained calmly.
They all listened carefully till he was done and realized he had said the truth. Those were the possible scenerios that could be occurring. "That does make a lot of sense" Kreed agreed.
"Yeah it does" Raven added
"Yeah"
"I hope so" Diamond wipped her eyes. "Thanks again for checking on me..." She paused and then shifted her attention to Kieran. She reached out and placed her palm on Kieran's. "Thanks Kieran" She flashed him a smile, obviously in front of Raven's prying eyes. Raven felt a twinge of jealousy in her stomach on seeing that scene. Not wanting to get more upset, she turned away.
