The tensed atmosphere returned after Tessa finished with her story. She saw the shocked looks on their faces and immediately knew what was going through their minds. The silence was growing and was lingering too long. She saw how they were exchanging shocked and questioning looks. “You can say it” She finally broke the silence, making them know it was okay to say what they had in mind.

“We didn’t know you lost a child mom” Kieran spoke up with a sympathetic look in his eyes.

“Yeah. So sorry mom” Kreed added with a similar expression

“I am sorry Miss T” Raven added also.

“It’s fine guys. It was a long time ago”

“It must have been hard” Raven pointed out, trying to imagine just hard it must have been.

“It was at first. But then I got pregnant again and had these two right here. It was a blessing and it helped me moved on from the loss. So it’s fine. I’m happy. Everything happens for a reason. Though you guys and I never had the chance to spend time with your father, but we still got a happy family. That is good” She smiled proudly.

“That is nice” Kieran shrugged

“Well I intend to be there for my kids in the future and I hope Raven and I have a happy family too” Kreed blurted out, taking them by surprise.

Tessa and Raven simultaneously glanced at Kieran after hearing all of that from Kreed and as expected, they saw his countenance fall and his expression changed to a sour and jealous one. “Well now you guys know just how capable the alpha is” Tessa changed the subject immediately.

“Yeah! Taking two members of the Black Lotus at the same time, and alone…that is pretty awesome” Kreed replied with a proud smile.

“Yeah….i guess we really don’t have to worry about the Alpha being able to take care of himself against these groups, whichever one is after the Black Lotus members” Raven stated.

“That is correct. Now I think you guys should get going. You will be late if you don’t leave now”

“Oh my Goddd, I can’t wait till we are done with school” Kieran grumbled, forcing himself up from the chair. “I’m driving” He blurted out and started heading for the door immediately.

“Hey!….mom?!….damn him” Kreed complained, going after his twin.

Just before Raven could start going too, Tessa grabbed her arm, stopping her. She waited for the boys to be out of the house first before turning to face Raven. “I need to talk with you alone. It’s very important. So we should meet up alone and talk after school today. Do you understand?”

“Yeah, Miss T” Raven nodded before continuing on her way, wondering what she wanted to talk about that she was being that secretive even with her kids.

Looking around at the ugly mean faces that surrounded her, Bee began stepping back slowly with a scared look. The more scared she looked, the happier her attackers were and the bolder they became. She stepped back until she was backed against the wall. She looked at both sides of the alleyway and it was empty. No one seemed to be passing by. “Stop looking, no one is going to save you” One of the four mean looking men said. He seemed to be their leader.

Bee looked up at him. He towered over her and was twice her size. His bald head blocking the sun. She wondered how they decided to attack her in broad daylight. It was obvious they preyed on people with no regards as to the time of day. “So what first?” He asked with his deep voice, staring down at her helpless body and scared face as his boys cheered him on.

“How about I go for your throat first?” Bee blurted out, her expression changing from a scared one to a happy one with a psychopathic smile and eyes. How her expression changed like a switch scared her predator. Before he could react and step back, her claws had found its way to his throat, ripping it out.

She watched as he held his neck, gurgling as blood gushed out from his opened throat and sipped out from his mouth. The scared look in his eyes at that point excited her. She loved fooling people who want to prey on her, deceiving them into thinking they have a chance and then flip the switch on them.

Before his boys could escape, she wanted to take them down too. But just before she dashed toward them, she heard two of their necks snap simultaneously. She looked over and saw a lady standing behind the body of one and then a man standing behind the only one left alive. He grabbed the shoulder of the one remaining, ignoring his fearful cry. In one swift motion, he punched into his chest and ripped out his heart.

Bee stared in awe at them. She watched as the mystery man dropped the heart on the lifeless body of his victim. “Who the hell are you guys and why are you raining on my parade?” She finally asked, tying her red hair into a ponytail.

“I am Storm…and this is Cicada” Storm introduced

Bee shifted her attention to Cicada, staring at him as though she was reading him. She spotted the scar across the bridge of his nose and then she figured him out. “I know you, I have heard of you. You’re Cicada the mad wolf” She stated with a smile

“Guilty as charged” Cicada replied with his deep voice, bowing his head dramatically.

“A huge fan” Bee flashed him a smile and then turned to Storm. “And who the hell are you? I haven’t heard of a Storm” She stated just before she realized they were wearing a matching robe. “Wait a minute….black robe with red outline. You guys are the Red Lotus everyone has been talking about lately…this is a surprise” She added, excitedly.

“That is correct” Storm stepped forward, moving closer to her. “How would you like to be a member?”

Bee on hearing that, glanced at Cicada who was smiling and then glanced back at Storm. “Are you serious?” Bee questioned and then laughed loudly when Storm nodded. She laughed for a few seconds and then stopped. “Who would say no to that?” She began grinning.

“Good. Then come with us” Storm instructed and then started on her way, Cicada and Bee following behind.

Coming down from the car, Kieran looked around the empty area before following Killian into the apartment building. “Hurry your ass up so we can get back to school on time before they realize we are gone” Kieran said behind him as they climbed the stairs. “The things I do for friends” He rolled his eyes.

They got up and began hurrying toward Killian’s room apartment. They passed by the other rooms and got to the last one which was his. The door was locked so he fished out his keys and unlocked it. Both of them rushed inside and came to an immediate halt on seeing the surprise waiting for them inside.

“Hello” Cicada greeted with a smile from where he lay on his back fully on the bed. He was out of the Red Lotus’ signature robe and was just on a casual body hugging black tee and baggy grey sweatpants.

“Who the hell are you?” Kieran questioned with a shocked look still on his face, surprised how they weren’t able to pick up his scent, presence or heartbeat from the door. It was clear whoever the intruder was, he could mask his presence really well.

Killian who was still yet to get over his shock made a step back just before his shocked expression immediately became an angry one. “Dad!” He called angrily.

“Dad’?” Kieran shot a surprised look at his best friend.

Standing there in the middle of the woods, under the shed of the trees towering above him, Alpha Damien stood still, his hands locked behind him and his head tilted toward the sky, letting the gentle breeze wash his face as he took trips down memory lane, how life was before the second Great War. Since his birth he had never once had peace and neither has he rested. That was until after the second great lycan war.

The sacrifices his best friend made had ensured years of peace. Even though the sacrifice was too great, it brought peace. He had gotten a Luna in that peace and also gotten and raised a child in that peace and that is until now. Now the peace is being threatened, his Luna is missing, his life is being threatened and his daughter could be alone at any point in time.

Those thoughts kept playing in his head just before he heard a twig break behind him. He was brought back to reality. He turned back slowly and came face to face with Rayne. He sighed on seeing Rayne. “You look well Rayne”

“You sent for me Alpha” Rayne replied.

“Yeah…it is time we talked”
