Niklaus stood with a puzzled expression after searching the whole area and finding the bodies of the Betas on patrol around the border but not finding whoever made the mess. He glanced up at the full moon which was still high in the sky. The night had been a chaotic one and it seemed as though it wasn’t going to end soon. Something was off and he knew it. He turned back just in time to see Tessa and some other Betas heading for him. He could tell she had been crying.
She hadn’t had the time to process her family being split apart and now an attack was happening. “What’s going on? I thought we were under attack?” She asked on getting to where Niklaus was, Diamond standing behind her.
“Yeah we were. Our Border patrol Betas were all killed but I didn’t meet the attackers here” He replied
“That doesn’t make any sense. Why would they kill the patrol Betas and then leave?” Diamond asked with furrowed brows.
“Yeah” Tessa agreed
“Except….” Niklaus paused, looking around. The footprints he had found never got into town. They stopped at the border and turned back. “Except they were here as a distraction”
“Distraction for what?”
His eyes widened with realization. “The Alpha!”

Dashing toward him, Alpha Damien’s eyes began glowing red with his claws and fangs out. Within seconds he had closed the distance between himself and Scar who didn’t seem fazed by his incoming attack. Trying to s***h Scar with his claws, Scar effortlessly moved aside, dodging the incoming attack. Alpha Damien went in again and just like before Scar dodged his claws again.
Before they knew it they were both engaged in an exchange of attacks and defenses with the Alpha attacking and Scar being on the defensive, blocking and dodging the Alpha’s claws. After a few more seconds of constantly blocking the attack, he put his left arm up, blocking the Alpha’s kick and he immediately took the opening and kicked the Alpha’s only leg on the floor, sending the Alpha to the ground.
Alpha Damien quickly made a backflip to get back on his feet. He brushed off the dirt on his clothes whilst his glowing eyes were fixed on his enemy. He immediately realized he shouldn’t underestimate his opponent. “You seem to be out of shape” Scar taunted.
Growling lightly. Alpha Damien attacked him once more. Getting to where Scar was, he threw his right claws at him and just as he had expected, Scar put his arm up to block his attack and as planned the Alpha switched mid way from trying to claw him to grabbing his arm. He grabbed Scar’s arm swiftly, taking him by surprise and immediately tightened his grip and them twisted the arm.
Trying to attack with his other hand. Alpha Damien pushed the free hand away and followed immediately with a kick to Scar’s opening. His kick landed on his midsection with an heavy impact. Before he could get used to it, the Alpha grabbed his arm tighter and hurled him against the big oak tree next to them. Scar landed with a bone crushing force against the tree and immediately he landed on the ground, he felt Alpha Damien’s grip on his neck, holding him down against the ground.
Without hesitation, the Alpha began landing blow after blow on his face. He pounded his face in for a while before getting up from him. He looked around the woods and found a long stake. He walked over and picked it up and then broke it in two. He turned to Scar and saw him trying to get up to his feet. He walked over to him and kicked him back down and followed swiftly with the stake getting buried into his heart.
He watched as blood seeped out from his mouth, soaking his clothe mask. “You talk big for a weak wolf. I thought you would be much stronger than this. I’m disappointed” The Alpha stood up to his feet, pulling out the stake. He uttered a sigh of relief.
“Not bad”
He was overcome with shock when he heard Scars voice behind him. He turned to see Scar standing against a tree. He looked back at the one he just killed and saw it had turned into a wolf. ‘A clone’ He thought to himself, still surprised at the turn of event.
“I must say, that was quite a show. But it isn’t over yet” Scar said to him as calmly as possible. “I know of your ability. Being able to block other Direwolves’ abilities. Don’t bother to use your ability in this fight. It won’t work on me”
“I don’t have to use my ability to be able to put you down. I will take down every clone you create one after the other till I end you” The Alpha stated with much confidence.
“And what if I send them two at a time” He smiled just before two more clones of himself came out from the woods and stood in front of him, facing Alpha Damien.
Alpha Damien tightened his grip on the stakes he was holding, ready for their attack. He took a fighting stance, facing off against his two opponents. With the air filled with anticipation under the full moon, Both clones launched at him simultaneously. Alpha Damien taps into his super strength and speed, launching himself into action. He held the stakes in a way his fists were dominant. His fists blur with lightning-fast strikes, dodging and weaving between his opponents' attacks. The sound of branches snapping and leaves rustling filled the air as they clashed. Their movements a blur of power and agility. Alpha Damien unleashed a flurry of devastating blows, sending his opponents reeling and stumbling back to their Initial position.
Both clones with eyes devoid of emotions immediately went after him again. They both simultaneously took off their robes and threw it aside, attacking in just their pants and gauze covered body. They growled loudly and with their combined super strength and speed, they launched a relentless assault on Alpha Damien, overpowering him with their coordinated attacks.
The first one charged at Alpha Damien, landing a powerful blow that sent him staggering backward. Before he could recover, the other ceased the opportunity, delivering a series of lightning-fast strikes, clawing at his chest, spilling the Alphas's blood. One appeared from behind so quick Alpha Damien wasn't fast enough to react. He kicked his legs, sending him to his knees, the other immediately grabbed his hand, pulled him up forcefully and threw him against the oak tree. An heavy impact that left Alpha Damien gasping for breath as he fell on the muddy ground.
He tried to stand up as fast as he could and block their new and sudden attacks. Despite his best efforts, He found himself on the defensive, struggling to keep up with the onslaught. The clones worked together seamlessly, their movements synchronized like a well-oiled machine. They exploited every opening, leaving the Alpha little room to counterattack.
Blow after blow lands with bone-crushing force, each strike threatening to break his spirit. The woods echoed with the sounds of their fierce battle, the ground shaking beneath their feet. Scar watches on from the sidelines where he stood leaning against a tree. He heard a twig break and leaf rustle from his side, he looked but saw no one. He then shifted his attention back to the battle in front of him.
Alpha Damien refused to give in to losing. He had his daughter to think about. With determination, he taps into his inner reserves. His eyes began glowing darker than before, his fangs and claws found their way out. He stood back up and began to fight back with renewed ferocity, landing a few powerful strikes of his own. The tide began to turn, as his opponents momentarily faltered under the unexpected resistance.
However, they quickly regrouped and intensified their assault, overwhelming him once again. Bruised and battered, he refused to back down. He spat out blood and was bleeding all over from the claw marks on his body. As the Alpha clashed with them the sound of their supercharged blows echoed through the trees. The air crackled with energy as they pushed each other to their limits.
The first one charged at him, his fists a blur of motion. But Alpha Damien's instincts kicked in, and he swiftly sidestepped, countering with a powerful uppercut that sent his opponent staggering backward. The other, fueled, launched a flurry of lightning-fast kicks. Alpha Damien's reflexes kicked into overdrive as he expertly blocked and countered, his movements a symphony of precision and power.
The fight intensified as the opponents unleashed their own super strength and speed, matching Alpha Damien’s blow for blow. It's a dance of raw power and agility, each combatant pushing themselves to the edge. Damien ducked and weaved, narrowly avoiding a devastating punch, then retaliated and drove one of his stakes into the arm of one of the clones. But that didn’t stop the clone. They came at him again.
They rallied their strength and launched a coordinated attack. They maneuvered through Alpha Damien's attacks and expertly had him locked with one holding each hand. They landed serious kicks simultaneously on his stomach, causing him to groan from the pain. They repeated this three more times and then hurled against the oak tree again.
Alpha Damien forced himself up, looked up at his opponent. Three of them were covered in each other's blood. He sniffled, spat out the blood in his mouth. He reached for his hair and freed it from the bun, letting it fall, covering his face. A deep and heavy growl erupted from his chest. His previously retracted claws came back out and seemed to be a bit longer this time.
The clones dashed toward him again. He found himself surrounded, but he didn’t falter. With a burst of energy, he unleashed a devastating whirlwind of punches and kicks, sending his opponents flying in all directions. The fight raged on, the forest bearing witness to this epic battle. His speed suddenly exceeded theirs, the clones were getting weaker. He began countering their every attack with devastating blows and stabbing claws.
He refused to let them overpower him. With a surge of strength, he delivered a final, bone-shattering blow, sending both opponents crashing to the ground and gasping for air. He grabbed the two stakes from the ground and was heading to them when he felt a gust of wind past him. His eyes widened with shock when he felt Scar’s presence behind him. ‘Such speed’ He thought.
The Alpha swiftly turned to face him but was met with Scar’s kick to his chest before the impact sent him staggering back, Scar caught his hand and pulled him back to himself and drove his claws into the Alpha’s rib. He growled in pain but Scar wasn’t done. He pulled out his claws, hit the Alpha’s neck with the side of his palm forcefully, weakening the Alpha. He grabbed both his arms, buried his claws into them and pulled them down, tearing his flesh and ending it by taking both the stakes from his weakened hands easily.
Alpha Damien cried out from the pain. All of what Scar did to him happened in a matter of seconds. That was how fast he was. He dropped to his knees, both his arms bleeding, including his rib. His neck could barely hold his neck up. His claws and fangs had retracted and his eyes had stopped glowing.
“You held your own…..against my clones. They are not the average clones you deal with” Scar stated calmly, crouching in front of the battered and bruised Alpha. “I expected more from the legendary Black Lotus…..I am disappointed” He added and plunged the first stake into the Alpha’s stomach, causing him to groan from the pain. “This is the beginning of the end” He added again and stabbed the other stake into the Alpha’s neck. The Alpha began choking from his blood and then fell to his side.
Scar stood up, staring down at the Alpha who was still choking. He heard leaf rustle behind the woods in front of him again. He looked over at the place it originated from but saw no one. He then put on his hood and turned to leave. “Pick him up and let’s leave. Our mission is successful” He concluded and walked off with the Alpha’s body.

Tessa stood in the meeting room, restless and impatient to hear the news. She looked over at Diamond who was worried also about her father’s safety. After hearing how they might have come to attack the Alpha, she had been shaken up. Raven sat beside her, trying to comfort her and occasionally glancing at Kreed who sat at the other side from her. “Why is it taking so long?” Killian muttered.
The door flung open and one of the Betas they had sent walked in with a down expression. From his expression Tessa could tell the news wasn’t a good one. “Well? Where is my father?” Diamond rushed to the Beta with a worried look and pounding heart. “Where is he?” She shouted.
“I’m sorry” The Beta shook his head.
“No no no no!” She chanted, her heart threatening to stop beating. She crashed to the floor with tears in her eyes, Raven rushing to help her and console her.
The Beta turned to Tessa with a sympathetic. “There was a battle. We think he was attacked, defeated and his body taken away” He explained.
“Damn it” She cursed angrily. “It must be the same group who took the Luna also”
“That wasn’t all we found” The Beta spoke up, his expression dimming even more. He glanced back and nodded for the Betas at the door.
They stepped out for a few seconds and came back in carrying a lifeless body. They brought the body closer to them and Tessa immediately screamed “No!” And crashed to the floor also.
“No!!!” Raven gasped on seeing the body also, covering her mouth as tears began to flow freely.
Diamond’s cry intensified on seeing the body also. She felt her whole world crashing down on her and losing everything. Kreed was frozen with shock. He grabbed his chest when it felt as though he was having an heart attack. Killian stood frozen to the ground also, his eyes fixed on Kieran’s lifeless body. He couldn’t even move his fingers. “We found his body at the border close to where the Alpha was attacked also” The Beta announced. “Kieran was covered in claw and fang marks and was laying dead”
