Confrontation

(Some Months Ago)

Through the window overseeing the hallway of the classrooms, Raven spotted Kieran walking past. It was a free period so she immediately gathered her things and hurried after him. Clutching her notes to her chest, she quickened her footsteps, following behind Kieran who was still oblivious of her. She caught up with him, grabbed his hand swiftly without saying a word and dragged him into the empty classroom right beside them. "Whoa! Don't seperate my hand from my body" He said.

As soon as she dragged him into the classroom, she shut the door and turned to face him immediately with a pissed off look. He could easily tell she was mad at him. "What the hell happened yesterday?" She questioned, staring intently at him and waiting for his explanation.

"What do you mean?" Kieran replied, pretending he hasn't caught on to what she was asking him about.

"What I mean is we were making out and then suddenly you stopped, said we shouldn't be doing this and then ditched me. What was that all about?"

"Oh...yeah I'm sorry for ditching you like I did" He sighed. She could see he was truly sorry. "But I had my reasons. You do know I'm a Direwolf and what it means to sleep with any member of our clan?"

"Yeah I do"

"I'm not ready for that yet. Being bonded with one person"

"That's the reason why? I thought you said you were into me?" She inquired, looking less mad and more disappointed.

"Of course I'm into you...I wouldn't be getting intimate with you if I wasn't. Wait, you don't mind being bonded with me and having a mate link form between us?" He stared at her curiously.

"I'm not saying that...I mean...well...I don't know" She sighed, shifting her gaze to the floor shyly. "But I haven't gotten my wolf yet. I don't think that would work when I haven't gotten my wolf yet, right?"

Kieran thought about it and realized she might be right. 's**t' He thought to himself. "You might be right....but also you might be wrong. That's a risky chance to take"

"So now what? It's over between us?" She looked up at him with a heartbroken expression.

Kieran closed the distance between them, leaned down toward her and kissed her lightly on her lips. He broke it and was about to step back when she grabbed his jacket and pulled him back to her, sealing his lips with hers, catching him off guard. She kissed him deeply, twirling her tongue with his. She felt him sinking into the kiss and after few seconds, she felt his hands on her waist.

After what seemed like forever, Raven opened her eyes and broke the kiss. Kieran opened his and saw her staring directly into his eyes. He saw and felt how sad she was at that moment. She placed her hands on top his hands that was still on her waist. She slowly pulled his hands away from her waist. "Bye Kieran" She said softly, almost like a whisper, before opening the door and leaving the classroom, leaving Kieran there.

Kieran kept staring at the door even after she was gone. "s**t" He cursed, running his fingers through his snow white hair.

(Present Time)

Tessa kept staring at the Alpha, waiting for his opinion after she had explained everything she knew to him. He was looking more worried than her after hearing all she had to say. They both knew that it might seem like a small issue now but it could turn into something that no one would be able to contain, and that can affect them all greatly. "If this is true, then this is serious Tess?"

"Of course I know that and that's why I'm here if you might have any idea as to how we can avoid what it might bring"

"The only thing is to get Kieran to part with her"

"But how do we do that?" She inquired with furrowed brows.

"That's another problem. With the kind of person Kieran is, I don't think he would easily let go off her" Alpha Damien explained, heaving a deep sigh.

"Yeah. He's like his father...they both are...with both of them being named after him, it was a surprise also as they adopted the character attached to his name. Kreed being as serious as his father's Kreed persona and Kieran being carefree and unserious as his father's Kieran persona. But one thing that is constant between them is that they would hardly let go of what they want" Tessa explained.

"I'll find a way to make Kieran open up to me about it and if he does then I can try to make him see the dangers of it and what could happen if he continues with her"

"Yeah, please do, thanks" She replied, a little relieved.

Laying under the covers with her head resting on Kreed's bare chest, Raven was deep in thoughts, staring into space. Her body was the only thing present in that room at that moment, her mind was far away. Hearing Kreed breath calmly and his heartbeat stable, it felt like they were judging her. She knew how wrong what she was doing was, but still she found herself still doing it.

'What is wrong with me?' She thought, genuinely wanting to know what was wrong with her 'cause she was confused, not knowing why she found it difficult to reject her boyfriend's twin brother, but deciding to cheat with him instead. Now she felt she was in too deep for Kreed to never find out the truth anymore. It would shatter his heart and that was the last thing she wanted. She never want to be the one to hurt him.

"Hey, you're awake" Kreed's voice snapped her back to reality.

"Yeah...yeah I've been up for a while"

"Are you okay? Your voice doesn't sound too okay" He turned her face to him and saw the blank expression she had. "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing of importance"

"You look troubled though" He pressed on.

"I'm fine babe, don't worry about me"

Kreed wanted to push on but decided not to. It was clear that whatever was troubling her, she didn't want to share it with him yet. He decided to change the topic to one that has been troubling him instead. "What do you think about Kieran?"

"What?" She blurted out instantly, her heart skipping a beat.

"I mean, have you noticed that he hasn't been much of himself lately. I think something is going on with him. How distracted could he have been to lose to you during sparring" He explained.

"Oh..." She paused, calming down and getting relieved. "I don't know though. If something is going on with him, he would say something right?"

"Not really. He's good at keeping things to himself"

"Then I guess we'll have to wait and see. If something is definitely up, then we will know with time" She assured

"Yeah. You're right" Kreed sighed, wrapping his arm tightly around her small frame.

Dodging his fist, Diamond tactically did a frontflip, landing her legs on Kieran, his neck caught between her thighs. She twisted herself using her weight, coming down and dragging him down along with her. Within the blink of an eye, Kieran found himself pinned to the floor with Diamond ontop of him, just exactly as Raven had done also during sparring at school.

With her face mere inches from his, causing her to stare closely and directly into his eyes, she felt her heartbeat increasing, beating heavily against her chest. Unable to peel her eyes away from his, she felt stuck in that position while being at war in her head with her conflicting thoughts. "Your heart is racing moonhead" His comment snapped her out of her reverie.

She blinked and swiftly got up from him, clearing her throat awkwardly. She exhaled quietly, getting her heart rate back to normal. She glanced at him and he was still on the floor, staring at the roof. "What is going on with you kieran? This is our fourth fight today and I took you down in all four. What is bothering you? Is it about Raven rejecting you?" She crossed her arms, staring down at him.

"What? No, of course not...I've just been off and tired. All I need is rest and I'll be okay" He replied and flashed her a forced smile.

Diamond knew he was lying. There was something he was hiding. She moved closer to him and got down, lying down on the floor next to him and joining him to stare at the roof. "You know...we've known each other all our lives...more than we've been friends with Raven. I'm your friend Kieran and you can trust me. You can tell me anything, you do know that right? So I'm here if you wanna talk about it or about anything else"

Kieran turned his head to the side to look at her. She turned also and saw him smiling at her. She felt shy immediately and swiftly looked away. Her heart skipped a beat when she felt his hand on hers as he proceeded to lock their fingers together. "Thanks moonhead"

"Of course" She smiled, still feeling too shy to look him in the eyes again. The warmness of his hand and how he stroked the back of her palm with his thumb softly, sent a tingling feeling to her heart, causing it to start racing again.

"I should start heading back home now" He let go off her hand and stood up to his feet. "Thanks for today" He concluded and walked away.

"You're welcome" Diamond muttered, bringing her hand he held, up to her face and staring at it. She balled her fingers into a fist and sighed loudly, shutting her eyes.

Getting home from Kreed's, Raven shut the front door behind her and began heading toward her room. She needed a cold shower to clear her head. She got to the staircase leading up and was about climbing up. "Hey little Ray" He called behind her. The voice sent her into a state of shock, her eyes widening with disbelief. Raven felt her chest tightening, her heart skipping multiple beats, fear and anger rising inside her. She slowly turned around and came face to face with her big brother, Rayne.
