Chapter 28
Carter watched the hall Kinsley walked down counting the seconds until she reappeared. He wasn’t worried about the outcome of the board meeting. Kinsley had made it perfectly clear she was coming back home with him no matter what they decided. It was the unknown danger around him that had him on edge. Since they walked into the building he scanned every person they walked by seeing if they were being looked at for to long or if someone was trying to blend in the background. He wasn’t taking any chances with Kinsley’s safety. She was the center of his world and no one threatened her.
As he met her team he wondered if any of them suspected sabotage in the bureau. No one seemed on edge or appeared suspicious but that didn’t mean he was ready to let down his guard. He was curious
