Loving The Envy

Seven

The night of the ball:

The ball/charity event starts in 20 minutes and my men are already here. All except Gionni and Enzo. Gionni is coming later with his date, and Enzo is driving Envy here. She's a girl so I guess she needed more time to get ready. The guys look completely normal in their tux's so it won't look suspicious. There dates are also coming later.

Right now I'm talking to the caterers. Telling them when to serve the food and drinks.

Envy did make all the cakes and they are being stored until it's the right time to bring them out. I haven't seen them yet and I also haven't seen Envy's dress. Even though I know no matter what she wears she'll look amazing.

A couple minutes later everyone shows up besides Envy and Enzo. Even my dad is here. We have seating charts and of course Envy is sitting at the table with me, my dad, Tabitha, Lenard, my date Julia, and Enzo. She's sitting right across from me.

"Babe, when can we dance." Julia says with a giggle and leans into my shoulder as everyone else in the room is making light conversation.

"After the speeches." I say and try my best not to shrug her off of me.

"Armani where is Envy?" Tabitha asks me with a stern tone and I shrug.

"Yes where is she. I've been wanting to meet her. Tabitha tells me that she's wonderful." My dad says with a smirk on his face. He's gonna try and flirt with her. My father just turned 50 and he is still very active. He flirts with any good looking woman in sight.

"Wait wait. Is that her with Enzo?" Lenard asks while looking over behind me.

I hear Tabitha gasp and say that Envy looks so beautiful.

I turn over my shoulder to look at her like everyone else in the room is doing and I almost passed out.

Fucking Envy. She's walking over with her arm locked with Enzo's. Probably because she's wearing heels and she can't really walk in them. She's smiling looking confident as ever even though all eyes are on her.

She looks so f*****g beautiful. I never expected her to wear anything like this willingly. She has her natural hair out and it's in an up-do. A f*****g gold dress that looks perfect on her smooth brown skin. I think I'm drooling.

"Son THAT'S Envy?" My dad asks me and I turn to face him and nod my head. Julia scoffs and says that Envy looks a mess.

I'm trying to get messy then

"Hi everyone." Envy says from behind me and I can smell the Vanilla perfume that she always wears.

"Hi beautiful. You look amazing. Take a seat." Tabitha says with a smile and points to Envy's chair that is directly in front of me beside Enzo who has been smirking at me this whole time.

They both sit down and I have to look anywhere else but straight at Envy because it's taking all of me not to drag her out of here and f**k her wherever we end up.

"So, you're Envy. I've heard a lot about you and I must say you are absolutely breathtaking." My dad says while looking at Envy. I immediately roll my eyes at him.

"Thank you. Your name is?" Envy asks my father politely with a smile on her face.

"Anthony." My dad says with a smile and winks at her. She laughs a little and says it's nice to meet him.

"Hunny where's your date?" Tabitha asks Envy and Envy instantly frowns.

"Someone told her she wasn't allowed to bring a date." Enzo says while looking at me and answering for Envy.

"Aramani! You know I said everyone should have a date." Tabitha says and glares at me.

I just shrug not knowing what to say.

"It's fine. Im okay with not having a date." Envy says trying to get me out of trouble with Tabitha.

"Enzo where is your date?" Lenard asks his son.

Yeah where is his date.

"Sitting with her family. I had to bring Envy here so I told her to come alone." He says with a smile on his face.

Okay good.

"Oh good. Anyways I'm sure you can find someone to dance with you."Tabitha says to Envy who just nods.

"Well it's 8 so I have to go up and give my speech." Tabitha says and then takes a deep breath and stands up.

She then walks over to the stage and gets everyone's attention.

"I can't wait till we get out of here." Julia whispers to me in a seductive tone as Tabitha is talking to everyone..

"Uh huh." Is all I say.

"Now I would like to introduce the new board of directors for our newest Charity. Jacob Clyde." Tabitha says and everyone claps. I hear a slight gasp and I look over at Envy who looks as if she's about to pass out.

I think a little to try and see what's wrong with her then I remember something.

This CAN'T be the Jacob that she's in love with, the one that left her for her sister.

I look over to him as he's giving his speech. He's tall, black, has tattoos, and he looks smug. I guess you can say he's good looking.

I look back at Envy and she's taking deep breaths trying to calm herself down.

"And without my beautiful wife I couldn't have done any of this. Please give a hand for my wife Empress Clyde." The Jacob guy says and then everyone turns there attention to this Empress woman and claps for her.

She resembles Envy but she looks older.

DEFINITELY not as pretty as Envy. Honestly I don't see why he would choose her and not Envy. After him a couple more people give speeches and now it's time to eat.

Everyone sits down and the food is served. It's unseasoned but it looks fancy so it'll suffice.

Envy hasn't spoken this whole time. She's eating but she's not looking up.

After dinner is finished they bring out the cakes. They are already cut and onto plates where people can choose what they want. Julia is in my ear complaining about how she's ready to f**k me but in reality she's just ready to leave so she can do a line.

"Gosh, Envy you must teach me the recipe to this chocolate cake." Tabitha says while eating her cake and looking at Envy. Envy smiles and pokes her own piece of chocolate cake.

I can tell she wants to leave. Then they start playing music and some people get up to dance. By some I mean everyone, most people are drunk because they've been serving alcohol and water the whole time. Everyone leaves the table besides me and Envy.

She's staring at her sister and that Jacob guy dancing. I notice that her sister is super skinny and taller than Envy.

"You know, staring at them won't help how you're feeling." I say breaking the silence.

"I'm hoping they'll burst into flames." She says while not even looking at me.

I let out a small chuckle.

"You're too beautiful for him. If I were you I would be happy." I say to her and shrug. She looks at me.

"I just never expected it you know. When I found out they were together I was visiting my parents in France." She says while looking at me.

"Who would." I say

"But don't pout about it. I'm sure you can steal any man from their date if you really wanted to." I say to her and her lips quiver. She wants to smile.

"I've experienced that before. I want a man that is completely unattached." She says while looking at me.

Is she flirting with me right now?

"Define unattached." I say with a smirk and leans closer to the table. She then leans closer too

"A man that would be all mine." She says in a low but seductive tone with a smirk and then gets up from the table and walks to the dance floor.

"Mercy." I say while looking at her ass as she walks away.

Then my view gets blocked. It's that Jacob dude.

"What?" I ask him looking him up and down in disgust.

"I'm Jacob Clyde, Tabitha told me to introduce myself to you." He says with a smile. I quickly stand up.

"I know who you are and I know you're a f*****g idiot." I say to him with venom laced through my voice.

"Excuse me?" He says getting upset too.

"Why don't you worry about your downgrade and I worry about the 2.0." I say and then bump his shoulder while walking away from him to the dance floor to find Envy who is dancing with Anex.

"Come with me." I say to her and pull her from my brother. I stand us right in front of Jacob but she can't see him.

"This is an order. Do not react to anything I do. Just go with it." I whisper in her ear after I pull her close and start dancing with her. She doesn't say anything so I know she's gonna follow along.

I slowly run my hands down her smooth back making eye contact with Jacob who is know talking to his wife but looking at me. I put my hands on her butt and give it a light squeeze. She doesn't say anything or move. Perfect.

Then I pull us apart a little and stare into her eyes. She looks confused but also a little happy.

Now I was gonna turn her around so I could show Jacob exactly who the 2.0 is but instead I got lost in her eyes and lean down and give her a small peck on the lips. She pulls us apart and looks shocked but she doesn't do anything to sudden. Then she turns around slightly and sees her sister and her ex.

"Envy?" Her sister says with disgust in her voice.

"Follow my lead and I'll get you a phone." I say in her ear and then I grab her hand interlocking our fingers.

We walk over to them, the sister looks annoyed but Jacob looks shocked and he can't take his eyes off of Envy's body.

"Jacob, Empress." Envy says politely nodding at him.

"What are you doing here? Last I heard you were a stripper at some dingy night club." The sister says with a smirk on her face.

"I was a bartender." Envy says to her sister sounding annoyed.

"Must not have worked out. Now you're just a slut for some white man." Her sister says to Envy and Envy goes to attack her but I quickly hold her back.

"I see she still has that temper." Jacob says with an obnoxious chuckle.

"I see you want me to black your f*****g eyes." I say while looking at him.

If we were in a different setting I would've said "I see you want me to gauge out your eyes and make that b***h eat them."

Which I've done before. Spying, always deserves some time of pain to the eyes.

"You think I'm scared of you?" Jacob says while walking up to me puffing out his chest.

If he was smart he's know that he should be. There's so many ways I can kill him right now with just my bare hands.

"Envy call off your dog. It's not like y'all will last long anyways. You never could keep a man." Her sister says and flips her hair.

"Oh please if you wanna talk about not keeping something how about we talk about the 5 abortions you've had from ages 15 to 24." Envy says to her sister basically calling her out. Her sister face turns from smug to mad instantly.

"I don't have time for this nonsense. Babe let's leave." Jacob says backing away from me as if he's being bold. No, I just flashed him my gun and his face paled. So NOW he wants to leave.

"Whatever." The sister says and then they both walk away.

" I hate your sister." I say to Envy.

"Why'd you kiss me?" She asks me

Honestly I don't have a response to that.

"Go dance, I have to find my date." I say and walk away from her.

I have to find Julia. She's probably somewhere high as f**k.

I look around the whole building and I can't find her. I check one last bathroom and I spot her in there making out with some guy.

I don't even bother to disrupt them. I walk back to the ballroom and Envy is leading the group in the Electric Slide. She has no shoes on and I'm positive she's drunk cause she's letting my dad dance behind her with his hands on her hips.

She's definitely an alcoholic. I know this because she's been to AA before. Gionni sent me all her files.

I sit down and watch her dance until she comes rushing over to me.

"Dance with meeee." She slurs out with a giggle.

She's lucky she's cute.

They are playing Thinking Out Loud. I stand up and take her hand.

I expected for her to want to slow dance or something when we get to the dance floor but she gets in front of me and wraps my arms around her waist and starts grinding her butt on my d**k.

I look around and no one is paying attention so I let it continue because it definitely feels good. She's laughing and then she suddenly turns to face me with a lazy smile on her face. She's definitely drunk.

"I'm having fun." She says and then wraps her arms around my neck.

"I can see that." I say with a chuckle while looking down at her.

"You're sexy when you're not being a meanie." She says and plays with my hair.

"Baby girl that's when I'm my sexiest." I say with a smirk.

"EHEM!" I hear someone yell and I turn and see Enzo looking at me with a smirk on his face. She immediately lets go of me and hugs Enzo.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm jealous.

"You had fun?" Enzo asks Envy and she laughs and says yes.

"Where's your date? I wanted to meet here." Envy says to him.

"She left." Is all he says.

"Can I go home with you?" She asks Enzo with a pout on her face when she finally pulls away from him.

"No can do. I think you need to go to bed. I heard you have a new mission on Monday." He says while looking down at her.

"You guys are not fun. I'm going to find Anex. He'll let me stay with him." She says and tries to walk away but I quickly grab her waist stopping her from going anywhere.

"We're leaving." I say sternly to her.

"When we get home can we make out a little. I haven't kissed a man in so long." She says seriously while looking at me.

Enzo bursts out laughing.

"Maybe." I say and then pull her away.

"I'm so tired." She says with a yawn when we finally get to my car.

"Mhm." Is all I say.

"Thank you for what you did for me earlier." She says to me with a weak smile.

I just ignore her. We're out of the ball so now I'm back to normal.

She doesn't say anything else and she actually falls asleep about 5 minutes into the car ride. She's snoring so loudly.

When we get to the house I attempt to wake her up but she refuses to get up. So I just pick her up and carry her inside.

When we get in the house the only person that's there is Lisa. She's drinking tea and sitting on the couch watching tv.

"You can leave." I say to her and she just looks at me and Envy then smiles.

I walk past her and up the stairs.

"Can I sleep with you?" Envy asks me finally waking up out of her sleep.

"f**k no." I say and then kick her room door open and toss her on her bed. She groans and I just walk out of the room and down the hall to my room.

I get undressed, take a shower, and then brush my teeth in about 30 minutes. Then I finally get in bed and I'm out like a light.
