Chapter 12
Shifting her pale grey eyes back and forth between Pari, who was in front of her, and Campbell, who was seated at her right, Danica Hornick shrunk behind the board room table in a small conference room at Crown Flower Bay Resort. Danica's elbows were tucked into her waist and her forearms rested on her thighs.
"Before you get started, I have something to say," Danica uttered, beginning meekly. "Well, two things, to be exact. First, Pari, I apologize to you. No matter what you were doing with Orion, I should not have acted so rashly. That was a bad moment for me. Being like that is not what I am all about. I am usually the one getting everyone angry, not the other way around."
Danica's chuckling garnered no reaction from Pari or Campbell. "Please continue," Pari said.
