Chapter 15
Deciding she needed to remain off of her injured foot, Manami Murakami invited Pari and Campbell to her hotel suite. They joined her on the second story balcony of the Crown Flower Bay Resort overlooking the adjoined golf course. Manami rested with her left leg positioned upright on a cushioned table.
"Are you going to let a doctor look at your foot?" Campbell asked.
"If the swelling does not diminish by tomorrow morning, then I will probably go to a medical clinic," Manami answered. "Everyone who has seen it thinks it is a simple sprain, but it sure hurts more than I think it should."
"Who else has seen it?" Pari asked.
"Everyone. What do you mean?"
"Who has seen your bare foot under that heavy sock?"
"I don't go swinging it around on display," Manami answered, taken
