Prophecy Paradox

It was almost the end of a winter Night in the Town of Stonevault ; The first sun rays were on the horizon. The midwife Stace was assisting Aditi in her Labor. This would be the 66th Child Stace has been a midwife for she thought to herself. Though Stace had heard the rumours about Aditi being the witch and the child being the spawn of devil Stace didn't Care. Or so she thought Untill she witnessed the birth. The Child had swallowed the water of the womb during birth and was now choking on it. Stace quickly took the baby placed it on a table and started pushing on its little stomach to help it barf the water so the child would survive and she was successful in this. But as soon as she turned to look at Aditi she knew the Hell was about to break loose. Aditi Had taken her last breath as the child took it's first breath. The cause of death was too much bleeding during delivery. A cold shiver Ran down Stace's spine. She wrapped the child in a towel and placed it in the Cot and Ran as fast as her legs helped. Stace was frightened as she climbed up the church tower.Her hands were still b****y and she was leaving b****y handprints on the tower walls. As she reached the top she kept tugging on the Bell's rope with all the power she had. It was too early in the morning and Stace was ringing the bell so loudly the Town's people were Gathering there In No time. After the Town's people had gathered a Knight escorted Stace to the Royal Court to see the king. King Edward the second, his father Edward the first and his newlywed wife Queen Eleanor were on their respective thrones. Stace announced in a panicked voice - "The prophecy has begun." There was murmur in the court. "I Just witnessed the birth of the child of the prophecy as the Sunrays hit the horizon and the mother died as the child took it's first breath." Upon Hearing these line The father of the king; king Edward the first got lost in the flashback of How the prophecy had occurred in the first place. Before the birth of his only son Edward the first had been trying to have a Child for several years with no luck. He knew he didn't have a successor all the neighbor towns will fight and try to take the Throne of Stonevault and The existing king Adkin of nearest Town Wolftide had made his intentions clear that he will be the first to attack Stonevault if King Edward the first doesn't Have a Successor soon. So Edward decided that he will have to take the risk of getting a child by the means of a prophet. Of-course it had its own Consequences but it was still better than having the Town took over by some Evil king and death of soldiers. So Edward started his journey to find The first Emissary aka Emmy the prophet. After Days of journey Edward was at the top of the tallest mountain and started Screaming the prophet's Name on top of his Lungs "Emissary......The first Emissary....." "I like to be called Emmy" A small yet old voice said behind him. Edward turned to find a white smoke veil that looked like a door in front of him. "Come in" the sound was coming from it but there was nothing was behind it. Edward examined this Smoke door and to his curiosity tried the door knob and found himself in a cottage. The cottage looked like it was under ground and made of roots but the door was magical so Edward didn't trust what his eyes told him. There were lines and lines of shelves filled with books some old, Some new, Big, Small, Books of all colours, Books made of EVERYTHING starting with Human skin to Tiger skin and Tree leaves to Tiny Bones, One book even Looked like it was made of liquid. There were so many artifacts Edward was curious about and hadn't seen before but he dared not to touch them. "Always loved that Look of curiosity on people's faces when they visit me for the first time." Edward hadn't Noticed his mouth was open till the prophet said this."You must be The First Emissary!" "Who else would I be?" "Uh....." "It's okay. I see you're here to find a way to have a child to look after your kingdom." "How do y....... Yes, yes I am." Edward said with amazement. Emmy Moved from where he had been standing and started to search a cupboard. "Are you aware of the consequences this might have?"Emmy asked still searching. "Yes I know about those." "The price maybe higher than you expect." "I know how it works." "Okay then. Sit." Said Emmy as he placed a Green Crystal Orb on the table as he held a little bottle filled with some sort of White liquid and started Chanting. Edward sat across him. After Emmy finished the Chanting he got up and started circling the table. Then he placed the vial in the hands of Edward and said "Now listen carefully; get up, Slit your wrist and pour your blood on the vial. After that I'll snap my fingers and you'll be back in your castle without looking back you have to give this vial to your wife to drink. And you'll Have a baby in nine months. Okay now get up." Edward did as he was told with no further inquiry. Sure enough Edward the second was 9 months Later. That's when the skies Started to rumble and surrounded the castle. As the king's son stared at the Ceiling, A voice from the skies Started to speak and that's How they had gotten the prophecy. Everyone in the town of Stonevault had heard it. This was the day Edward the first had been dreading all his life and it Had come. "THE PROPHECY!!!!!!!" the old king said jerking from his trail of thoughts. He stood up and asked the midwife Stace about the incident. "I was helping Aditi during her childbirth. The child had swallowed the womb water during labor and was choking on it so I had to push on it's Belly to keep her alive and after much trying the baby took its first breath. That's when I heard a whimpering sound and turned around to see the mother taking her last breath and the 1st Sunray was right on the child's Face My lord. And she is the 66th child I have assisted with. I was Frightened so I ran to the church. You know the lines of the prophecy 'Born as....." "SHUT UP OLD HAG"The king interrupted before Stace Could recite the prophecy. "I Order for you to be executed for causing havoc." Two knights took away Stace as she was pleading, crying to be given another chance. After the Townsfolk had left the Court King Edward the first said to his Son."The Prophecy has begun. You must do what I tell you." "But you just said.." "Shhh..... You fool listen to me. If any of the Townspeople knew what was happening they will flee and we will be left here with no people to rule over. Now you must do as I say. Send few of your knights to the Said Aditi's place and have the baby killed before it becomes a problem do you understand?" "YES FATHER." king Edward the second then got up and ordered his Knights to find the baby and kill it.
