SEASON 1 , Episode 1:- "The Charity Case "
Blackridge Academy was built like a fortress for the elite—polished floors, ancestral paintings, and trust funds heavier than family legacies. Into this world walked Ash Renner, in second-hand shoes and a blazer a size too large.
It was lunch hour when it happened. The grand dining hall was buzzing, chandeliers flickering above tables of legacy students. At the center table—unchallenged territory—sat Kieran Vale with his usual court: Bhavi, his calm and calculated best friend; Jayden, who always had a cruel joke ready; Nolan, the gym-built muscle; Luka, the smooth talker; and Jonathan, who rarely spoke but missed nothing.
On the side bench sat their female counterparts: Ezra with her dark lipstick and sharper tongue, August with her ever-judging eyes, Wesley with her violin case always in reach, and Gale Kai—the one who filmed everything for her private vlog.
Kieran leaned back in his seat, crossing one leg over the other. “Who’s the charity case?” he asked, flicking his fork toward Ash.
Bhavi glanced over. “New kid. Ash Renner. Scholarship student.”
“Looks like he crawled out of a thrift store,” Jayden said, chuckling.
“Must be lost,” added Nolan.
Ash stood in the lunch line, unaware—or simply ignoring—the stares. He carried a paper bag. Homemade lunch. A grave offense at Blackridge.
Kieran stood, the room quieting as he made his way over. His voice was low but deliberately loud enough.
“Hey, new guy. You know this is Blackridge, right? Not some public school drop-off shelter.”
Ash turned slowly. “Thanks for the reminder.”
Some laughed. Others winced. No one replied to Kieran like that.
Kieran smirked and reached into Ash’s bag, pulling out the sandwich. He peeled the bread apart with two fingers.
“Is that... peanut butter?” he sneered.
“Would you like a bite?” Ash asked, tone flat.
For the first time, Kieran was caught off-guard. He dropped the sandwich onto the tray. “Clean that up.”
Ash stared at it for a second, then picked up the tray—and calmly walked away.
Bhavi whistled. “You just got out-iced.”
Kieran narrowed his eyes. “No. I just found something worth breaking.”
From her seat, Gale Kai hit record. “This is going to be fun.”
