Bound By Shadows

Paranormal Romance • Werewolf x Witch • Forbidden Love • Dark Alpha • Destiny & Betrayal

Luna Nightshade has spent her whole life running from a truth she never asked for

half witch, half wolf, and the single spark that could ignite a supernatural war.

When her own pack betrays her and sells her at a secret auction, she expects to die.

Instead, she is claimed by the one man every creature fears… and every prophecy warns her about.

Alpha Darius Thorn.

Feared. Ruthless. Cursed.

A king who traded his soul for power and hides a darkness deeper than the night itself.

Luna wants freedom.

Darius wants control.

But destiny wants them bound.

Forced into his cold mountain fortress, Luna begins to feel a pull she cannot explain

a forbidden bond that burns hotter than magic and more dangerous than fate.

He pushes her to master her powers, not to protect her… but to prepare her.

Because something ancient is waking.

Something tied to Luna’s blood.

Something Darius has been running from for years.

And when Luna discovers the truth that her long-lost twin sibling leads the deadly Shadow Pack—

her world shatters.

Is her sibling her enemy… or the only one who can save her from becoming the weapon destiny created?

As war rises and betrayals cut deeper than claws, Luna must choose:

Love or loyalty. Power or peace. Light… or the darkness calling her name.

One choice will save the supernatural world.

One choice will destroy it.

But Luna is done being a pawn.

This time, the shadows answer to her.

Chapter (1) sold to the Highest Bidder
I stood on the auction block, my wrists and ankles bound by cold, unforgiving chains. The dimly lit room was filled with the supernatural elite, their eyes fixed on me like predators sizing up their prey. I felt a shiver run down my spine as I scanned the crowd, my heart racing with a mix of fear and defiance. The air was thick with tension, heavy with the scent of magic and power. I could feel the weight of their gazes, each one trying to strip me bare and claim me as their own. I knew I was a prize, a rare and powerful werewolf with abilities that could change the course of the supernatural world. As I looked out at the crowd, my eyes landed on a sea of faces, each one blurring into the next. But then, I saw him. A man who stood out from the rest, his presence commanding attention without demanding it. He was tall, with a chiseled jawline and piercing blue eyes that seemed to bore into my soul. His jet-black hair was perfectly messy, and his sharp suit accentuated his broad shoulders. For a moment, I forgot where I was, forgot the chains that bound me, forgot the fate that awaited me. I just saw him, standing there, his eyes fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. But then, I shook my head, clearing the fog. I didn't have time for distractions, not now, not ever. The auctioneer began to speak, his voice dripping with excitement. "The rare and beautiful Luna Sable Nightshade, a werewolf of unparalleled power and magic. Who will start the bidding at 100,000 gold coins?" A vampire in the front row raised his hand, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "150,000 gold coins." A witch to my left countered with, "200,000 gold coins." The bidding continued, each supernatural creature trying to outdo the others. I felt like a prize animal, being sold to the highest bidder. My heart sank with each bid, my fate slipping further and further away from me. The handsome stranger didn't move, didn't flinch, his eyes fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. I wondered what his story was, but I didn't have time to ponder—the bidding was heating up. "500,000 gold coins!" a werewolf pack leader shouted. "750,000 gold coins!" the vampire countered. The room fell silent, waiting for the next bid. The handsome stranger still hadn't moved, but I sensed a sudden tension in his body. His eyes seemed to flash with something—interest, perhaps? But I didn't care. I didn't want to be sold to anyone, didn't want to be owned. I wanted to be free, to make my own choices, to forge my own path. "1,000,000 gold coins!" the witch exclaimed. The room erupted into chaos, each supernatural creature trying to outdo the others. The bidding reached dizzying heights, each number higher than the last. And then, the handsome stranger raised his hand, his voice low and commanding. "I'll pay 2,000,000 gold coins. And I'll take her now." The room fell silent, waiting for the auctioneer's response. I felt a shiver run down my spine as the stranger's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze burning with an intensity that made my skin crawl. But I didn't look away. I couldn't. I was trapped, bound by chains and fate, with no escape in sight. I felt a surge of anger and betrayal as the stranger's words echoed through the room. "You!" I shouted, my voice hoarse with emotion. "You traitor! You betrayed me!" I tried to break off the chain, but my ranting was fruitless. The stranger's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to flash with something—possessive, perhaps? "How could you?" I spat, my words tumbling out in a rush. "I trusted you, I thought you were my pack, my family. But you're just like all the others, aren't you? You only care about yourselves, about your own power and greed." I shouted while the rest just watched. The leader of our pack, a tall, gaunt man with a cruel smile, stepped forward. "Enough, Luna," he sneered. "We don't need you anymore. We need the money, and this stranger is willing to pay top dollar for you," he said, his tone that of finality. "You're selling me out," I accused, my voice shaking with rage. "You're selling me to the highest bidder like I'm some kind of animal." I screamed as he just looked at me with a nonchalant look. The pack leader shrugged. "You're not one of us, Luna. You never were. You're a freak, a monster. And we're better off without you," he spat. I felt a stinging sensation in my eyes as tears began to form. "I hate you," I whispered, my voice barely audible. "I hate all of you." The stranger took a step forward, his eyes locked onto mine. "I'll take her," he repeated, his voice firm. "I'll pay the price, whatever it is," the stranger said with an uninterested look. The pack leader smiled, rubbing his hands together in glee. "Excellent. The deal is done, then. 2,000,000 gold coins, and she's yours," the pack leader said, rubbing his hands together in greed. I felt a cold sensation wash over me as the stranger approached me, his eyes never leaving mine. I knew I was doomed, trapped in a fate worse than death. And I knew I would never forgive those who had betrayed me.
