Chapter 3

Training Day

Captain Maya Voss was already at the building for the training they would be doing, and was reading a book while she waited for Lieutenant Grayson to arrive. Grayson arrived on time and sat near Captain Voss, waiting for her to say something. Maya eventually got up and walked over to the table that was across from them and pulled clothes out for Grayson and told him to change into them. Grayson went to the restroom and noticed that the clothes were black pants with many pockets and a black t-shirt with boots. Maya sat back down waiting for Grayson to come out once he was finished changing. Once he came out, he saw Maya stand up and noticed his clothes were similar to hers. Maya’s clothes were the same except for her boots which almost resembled knee high riding boots but they ended right below her knees. She had handcuffs attached on both sides of her legs in a chain. One set was silver and the other was blue.

Maya explained that silver meant they would be transferred to police custody and blue meant their custody. She had two swords on her back that he couldn’t see, knives of different shapes and sizes, a gun on her hip, and two weird-looking circular razor blades. Maya caught Grayson looking at her and saw what he was looking at and unstrapped one and waved her hand and the blade opened to where it was bigger and the shock on his face, but he understood. They moved to another table together and he picked out the weapons that would basically be with him for the rest of his life, and he put them in their prospective places. Now the fun begins.

Hellish Training

They began by working out, sparring, and military training tactics. Grayson trained hard with Maya and showed his worth, but then came the hand-to-hand combat. Grayson took his opponents down like they weighed absolutely nothing. Grayson then watched Maya spar and saw her speed and agility and knew instantly that she was a force to recon with. They trained together for four months and became a force of nature.

Visting a sheriff’s office

Meeting Rylynn

Maya and Grayson were taking someone they detained that had drugs in their vehicle to one of the sheriff’s offices and as they began the process of him being an inmate, something caught Maya’s eyes…a woman..an angry woman who was yelling at another officer, and it intrigued Maya so she watched their interaction with one another. She watched the mystery woman stand her ground, then all of a sudden he threatened her job, and she basically just flicked him off and stormed off. The officer walked up to greet Maya, but she was still watching her but then suddenly turned her head to the officer and said that she wanted her… The officer knew he could not deny Captain Voss what she wanted and instantly turned to Rylynn and told her she was fired. Rylynn was enraged but then noticed Maya and calmed down slightly. The officer told Rylynn that she was hired onto Maya’s team and would be given the appropriate information and paperwork needed.

Interacting with Rylynn

Rylynn walked up more like stormed up to Maya and asked why! Maya was fascinated by her but showed no emotion towards her. Maya took in Rylynn’s appearance as it was somewhat similar to her own; mid-length black hair, green eyes, slightly tan, an inch or two shorter than herself but curvy in all of the right places. Maya has long curly black hair that went to her rear but kept it up with a clip, blue eyes, and was curvy/muscular. She could tell that Rylynn was also taking in her appearance and then asked how many tattoos she had, but Maya could not remember the exact number but stayed silent. Then told Rylynn the location to the building she would be meeting them tomorrow. Maya then walked to Grayson and they left together. Grayson was surprised but respected what his Captain wanted, but he knew she would talk to him because, after a week and some change, they started becoming really good friends. Maya and her family would go over to Grayson’s house for dinner, all of their kids would play together and well, they were becoming family.
