Chapter 6

Crystal was standing at the door looking out the window beside it when Emrys’ SUV pulled up.  She waited, wanting to see if he truly had brought someone back.  He got out, and like usual her breath got caught in her throat.  The man really was just too handsome.  Being his Luna, official or not, meant everything to her.  She didn’t love him, which was good considering Emrys Lyall was not one to return that love, but she did love the power and respect that came with being the acting Luna.  She was not about to let some outsider wreck everything she had worked for.  She was finally in his bed and she was not moving out.  If this supposed Luna was from Sage Moon, then that made her soft.   Crystal was going to act like the girl didn’t exist, and she was betting on Emrys doing the same.  She had changed into his favorite outfit just be sure.  She was wearing a low-cut crop top and daisy duke shorts with 3-inch heels.  Her make-up was caked on her face.  Her shoulder length hair was fried from all the dying and heat tools applied to it but she didn’t care.  Emrys had a type.  Blonde, big boobed, lots of skin showing, and in heels.  Her make-up was always done.  Her hazel eyes narrowed when the girl got out of the car holding Emrys’ hand.  She had beautiful blood red hair that hung to her waist and even from the distance that separated them, Crystal could see she had dark blue eyes.  The girl was a beauty no doubt, but she was short and she wasn’t Emrys’ type at all.  She was wearing blue jeans, Converse tennis shoes, a plain black t-shirt and had on maybe mascara.  She looked like the girl next door.   Crystal smiled to herself.  It wouldn’t take long for Emrys’ to reject her and send her packing.  She was glad now that she canceled Emrys’ order for the pack to meet this imposter.  He has to be embarrassed to be with her.  The couple was met by Tony, who was no doubt telling Emrys what she had done.  Oh well.  She would explain it later when it was just the two of them in his room.  He would be so happy that she had thought ahead.  They started heading to the house, and Crystal decided to make her first move now.  She flung the door open and launched herself into Emrys’ arms, effectively moving the girl.   "Emrys darling! I know it was only a few hours, but I have missed you.  Did you get any answers from those mangy mutts?” she exclaimed right before planting a kiss on his lips.  However, before it could get passionate, he flung her from him.  She pouted at him.   “Honey what is the problem?  Why are you tossing me away?  Didn’t you miss me?”  She said as she started to approach him again.  She heard the female growl and looked at her, faking a look of surprise.   She turned to Emrys and demanded, “Emrys who is the stray?”.   “Crystal, this is your Luna. Sabrina Duvall.” Emrys pulled Sabrina into his side. “Sabrina, my love, this is Crystal.” Was his reply.   “You are joking right?” Crystal scoffed.  “Her?  She barely looks able to hand taking a message let alone taking care of a pack.  Emrys honestly, when Tony told me that you had found your mate and had plans to bring her here, I thought he was joking.  She is not worthy of you.  Especially coming from Sage Moon.” Crystal continued snidely.  She opened her mouth to say something else but was cut short when Emrys suddenly started choking her.  “You will watch what you say about my mate.  She is going to be your Luna and I suggest you start showing some respect.  Do not forget your place Crystal.” He hissed.   He tossed her away from him.  “Emrys…. I thought…. my place…. was… by…. your side….”, Crystal wheezed out.  He shook his head.  The girl still had said nothing.   “The pack was under the impression that you would reject your mate once you found her.  You always said that you didn’t need or want one.” Crystal cried.   Emrys spun around to face her, murder in his eyes.  Those beautiful amber eyes were now glowing.  Crystal realized that she had pushed too far.  She wasn’t dealing with Emrys anymore, but with Elias.  Elias was the reason that Emrys had never marked Crystal, despite her attempts.  Elias wanted his mate and now that he had found her, Crystal put her life in danger by insulting her.  The girl stepped forward, unafraid and took Emrys’ face in her hands.  She spoke low to him.  Crystal almost didn’t hear what she said.  Almost.   “Elias, love, calm down and bring Emrys back.  I am not going anywhere.  Neither is Chimera.  We know how Emrys felt about having a mate.  We also know that he would never give us up.  Breathe, love.  Bring Emrys back.”  She waited a few minutes for Emrys’ eyes to stop glowing before turning to face Crystal.  Crystal had picked herself up from the ground by this point, and was shooting daggers at the girl.  No one could calm down Elias. No one.  He was a dangerous animal, one that killed without a second thought.  Who was this slip of a girl to be able to have such an affect him?  Crystal was starting to get mad.   “I don’t know who you think you are- “, she started but was cut off by the girl.   “I am Sabrina Duvall, daughter of Alpha Sebastian Duvall and his Luna Melissandra, sister of Leon Duvall, future Alpha of the Sage Moon pack, and the mate to Emrys Lyall.  I am the Luna of the Rogue Moon pack and you will keep your mouth shut.”, Sabrina commanded.   Crystal tried to retort but couldn’t open her mouth.  What the hell? She thought.   “The Luna commanded and we must obey.”, answered her wolf, Sandra.   “She is not the official Luna yet.  She shouldn’t have power over yet.”, Crystal argued.   Before Sandra could answer, Sabrina addressed her.   “Crystal, you go get whatever things you have in the Alpha’s room and get them out.  You will be moving into your own room. Today.  Do not let me see you for the rest of the day.  I have had enough of you and I just met you.  Already I can tell that you are rude and disrespectful.  Whatever games you are thinking of playing, don’t.  We are holding the Welcoming Ceremony tonight.”, Sabrina said.  Crystal moved slowly, looking at Emrys, who was looking at Sabrina.              Sabrina turned to look at Emrys.  “I thought of how you can make all this up to me.”, she said smiling.   “Oh, did you now?”, he playfully returned, now that both he and Elias had calmed down.  He was surprised at how easy it was for her to calm them both down.   “Yes. Tonight, we hold the Welcoming and you make me your official Luna.  That way when I come across her again, she will won’t try to defy me."   “Oh, she will try to defy you.  I don’t think it will work in her favor, considering you already seem to hold power over us.” Lincoln joined in.   “I have to say Luna, that it was a joy watching you set Crystal on her ass, so to speak.  No offense Emrys, but that she-wolf was taking too much pleasure in reminding everyone that she was a favorite.”, Tony added.   “Was being the key term here.” Emrys grumbled.  Sabrina laughed.   “Now can we go inside.  I still haven’t seen more than the front porch?”, she asked.  Emrys smiled at her and led the way into the house.
