Vivian's apartment.
"Diana is it true?" Vivian asked cautiously as she stepped into Diana's room.
"What?"
"Were you having an affair with Jake?"
"Yup".
"How could you? He was my fiancé".
"But he never loved you," Diana yelled.
"You feel everything is about you," Diana said and walked into the living room.
"You're my sister, how could you betray me like this," Vivian said hurtfully.
"Everyone always prefers you to me," Diana yelled.
"That's not true and you know it," Vivian said.
"Dad, mum, Seth like you more, I loved Jake but as usual he dated you, I couldn't give him up , I had to be with him even if it means being his sidechick," Diana said.
"You're sick," Seth said.
"Of course, support her, she's the good one, I'm the evil sister, I know I'm sick and I'm crazy," Diana said and left the house.
"Seth, Jake has been cheating on me," Vivian cried.
"With my sister," she cried harder on Seth's shoulders and he patted her back consoling her.
After a few minutes she slept off and he carried her upstairs.
A while later, someone rang their door bell.
Seth opened the door and saw Jasper, Emily and James.
He sighed "if you're here for Vivian, she's sleeping and not In the right mind to be questioned," he said.
"We're here for you," Jasper said.
"What do you want from me?" He asked after they had all sat down.
"Just a few questions," Emily said.
"What was your relationship with Jake?, were you guys close?" Jasper asked.
"Not really, he was with my sister that's it, we didn't talk much".
"Sounds like you didn't like him," Jasper said.
"That's your words not mine".
"How did you feel when he didn't show up for the wedding?" Emily asked.
"Angry, I was so angry with that piece of sh*t," he said angrily.
"Same way you felt when her ex dumped her back in Florida," James chipped in.
Seth looked at them eyes wide as he went silent.
"When was the last time you saw Jake Lugard?"
"Hold up, why are you questioning me like this," Seth said defensively and stood up.
"I didn't kill Jake," he yelled angrily hitting the table.
"We didn't say you did," Emily said.
"So what do you want?" Seth asked shaking with anger.
"Just a few more questions and we'd be on our way," Jasper said.
"Fine," Seth said and sat down again still angry.
"When was the last time you saw Jake?" Emily asked again.
"A week to the wedding, we went to get our outfits ".
"Where were you on Monday 20th May 2024, in the morning hours?" Jasper asked.
"I went to a coffee shop by 9am and came back by 11am Seth said.
"So you stayed in the shop for 2 whole hours?" James asked.
"I was working on a project," Seth simply said.
"Where's this 'comfortable' coffee shop?" Emily asked.
"It's down the street on the left".
"Name?" Emily asked.
"The cozy cup".
"Okay, thanks for your time and patience".
They stood up and left.
They were in the car driving to the coffee shop.
"Seems pretty defensive and aggressive," James remarked.
"Features of an ex- convict".
"Seems he didn't like his sister's fiance," Jasper commented.
"Yeah".
"He didn't like her ex so he beat him up, protective," Emily said.
They reached the coffee shop.
"We want to see your manager," James said to a waitress.
"Okay, this way," She said and left them to the manager's office.
"Good morning Sir," they greeted him.
"Good morning, how many I help you?" he asked.
"We're from 'The enigma enforcers'," Emily said showing him her badge.
"Okay, I hope there's no problem," The manager laughed nervously.
"We're working on a case and we want to see your security cameras," Jasper said.
"Uhh sure".
They were taken to the camera room.
Seth walked in at 9am, ordered and worked on his laptop then left the shop at 10am.
What could he have done between 10am and 11am.
