The three of them entered the store after Diana had left.
"Hello Ma'am," Jasper said resting on the counter.
"Hello, what can I help you with?" the lady behind the counter said.
"We want to know what the lady that left here got," Jasper said.
"Sorry Sir, I can't give out that info," the lady said.
The three is them showed the lady their ID at the same time.
"Fine, she came to buy a pregnancy strip,"
"Only?" James asked.
"Yeah" the lady said.
They thanked her left the store and entered their car .
"So she's pregnant?" Jasper asked.
"She's suspecting," Emily said.
"If she's pregnant, then it's for Jake?" James asked.
"This is messed up " Jake commented.
"So we have Diana and Vivian, "Emily said.
Vivian's story of scraping her elbow on his desk is sus....,"Jasper commented.
"Let's just question Diana first".
They reached Vivian's house and pressed the doorbell.
Diana opened the door.
"You guys again? My sister isn't around," She said irritatedly.
"We're not here for Vivian, we're here for you ".
"What?" She asked as she opened the door.
They came in.
"Pls sit, it'll just take a few minutes Ms Diana".
"Were you in any relationship with Jake Lugards?" Jasper asked.
"What do you mean relationship?, He was my sister's fiance," She said defensively.
"Answer the question? Were you in any kind of se*ual relationship with Jake Lugards?".
She drew in a long breath.
"Yes".
"Does your sister know?"
"No, of course not".
"So you were okay with him getting married to your sister?"
"No, it wasn't a month to the wedding he said he was gonna break up with her".
"And he didn't," Jasper asked.
"No" he continued the relationship.
"How did you feel?"
"Angry, betrayed, we stopped talking ".
"Did you know he was gonna your sister up?"
"God! no, I might be a b***h but I'm not heartless, though I was kinda happy," She said.
"So you guys didn't plan that?"
"Nope ".
"When last did you speak with him?" Jasper asked.
"Like 3 weeks ago, he's been avoiding me ".
"Where were you on Monday 20th May 2024?"
"I was at home all day, I told you".
"Your siblings?"
"Seth went to a coffee shop, Vivian went for a walk".
"Are you pregnant for Jake Lugard?" Emily asked.
Coincidentally Seth walked into the house.
Diana looked at him and hesitated.
"Yeah, I just found out now, I'm not sure, I used a strip".
"What the hell?" Seth yelled.
"So Jake didn't know?'
"Nope we got pregnant before but we aborted," She said shrugging.
Emily, Jasper and James looked at each other.
"You witch, how could you!!!," Seth yelled.
"Vivian loved him, after all she has been through!!," He yelled further.
James came up to him and held his Shoulder.
"Seth calm down," He said.
"I'm calm," he said.
"Okay, take care".
The three of them left.
"Wow!," James exclaimed.
"Pregnant for her sister's fiancé " Emily said.
"The text was pretty obsessive, maybe she was angry that he was marrying her sister instead of her," Emily continued.
The three of them looked at each other before entering the car.
"Hey, is it just me or is Seth protective of his sister," Jasper said.
"Diana?, Nahh, don't think so," James said.
"No, Vivian," Jasper said.
"You're right," Emily said.
"James, look into him," Jasper said.
And they drove off.
Saturday
It's been a week since Vivian and Jake's failed wedding.
AT THE TEE OFFICE.
"I looked into Seth, they lived in Florida some years back and he got into prison," James said handing the file to Emily.
Seth had gone to prison for assault on Vivian's boyfriend then, he had beaten the man up and stabbed him when the neighbours heard the commotion and called the police.
His report from Florida State Penitentiary (FSP) stated that he had anger issues and always got into fight while in prison.
Emily handed the file over to Jasper.
"So we have an overprotective brother who is an exconvict with anger issues," Jasper said after reading it.
"Let's pay him a little visit," Emily said.
