Friday morning
At the TEE Office
"Forensics are back, it was Vivian's blood scrapes" James said.
"So Vivian was there at his house and she lied" Jasper said.
"Yeah, i knew she would want Closure.".
"She needs it if she wants to move on" Emily said.
"Okay well you'll question her again and see if her story matches up" Jasper said.
"James and I will go through Jake's call logs and question Ella again ". He added.
"Copy that " Emily said.
She pressed the doorbell.
This time Seth answered the door.
"Good morning " he greeted frowning.
"Good morning, Is Vivian in?" Emily asked.
"Yeah "
"Can i come in?"
He opened the door for her.
"Vivian is not responsible for that bastard, so stop bothering her" He warned as they waited for Vivian to come down.
"We never said she was" Emily said with a straight face.
"Look, my sister is going through a lot, she doesn't need this ".
"So does Ella" Emily said.
Seth was about to say something when Vivian came down.
"Good morning Vivian " Emily greeted.
"Good morning ".
" I would like to talk to you, can you spare me a few minutes? Emily said with her hands in her back pocket.
"Uhm okay, make it snappy, I'm busy" Vivian said
"Okay" Emily said looking at Seth.
Seth grumbled and left the living room .
You said you last saw him a day to your wedding right ?" Emily started.
"Yeah "
"We found scrapes of your blood at the edge of his study table that's in his room".
"Uh ... I'm sorry, okay i lied, i did go to his house around 9am on Monday morning ".
"But you said you went for a walk?" Emily asked.
"Yes, i went to clear my head by taking a walk, but i later decided to go over to his house ".
"What happened when you went to his house?"
"I asked him why he stood me up on our wedding "
"He told me he didn't love me, i asked him what bad made him change "
"He couldn't give me an answer ".
"We were arguing and i stepped back and scraped my arm at the edge of his table ".
"He sent me out of his house ".
"Were you guys yelling? Emily asked.
" I was yelling but he was just calm".
"After he sent you out, where did you go next?"
"I went home straight" Vivian said.
Emily asked some other questions and stood up to leave.
As she was about to walk out of the door Seth stopped her.
"I hope you've confirmed that my sister is innocent" He said.
"Have a nice day " Emily said and walked out.
She met her colleagues im their car.
"So?" Jasper asked her after she sat comfortably in the car.
"She confessed she went there, they argued and she scratched her arm on his table" Emily said.
"Did he tell her why her stood her up?". James asked.
"Nope".
"We checked phone records, Jake's been cheating on Vivian with Diana" Jasper said.
"Diana? As in Vivian's younger sister?" Emily asked
"Yup " James Said.
"Wow"
"And she seems pretty obsessed " James added
"How so?" Emily asked
" By now they were driving back to the office".
" Look at this text" James handed the text records over to Emily.
"She looked at his chat with Diana"
She really did sound obsessive of him.
She was saying 'it's either she gets or no one else will'.
"Wait!, Isn't that Diana?" James exclaimed as they passed a d**g store.
Jasper who was driving the car immediately pulled up.
"What's she doing in a d**g store" They wondered.
