Phone ringing
911, what's your emergency?"
"Uhm...My brother is missing, I haven't seen him since this morning". A girl said
"What's your name?" The voice asked
"Ella, I'm Ella" She said.
"We understand Ella but we need to wait a bit longer to see if your brother makes contact."
"Missing persons cases often resolve within the first 24 hours, let's give it some time and see if your brother turns up".
"Okay, thanks". Ella said
"Bye" The call ended.
"Oh my God where could you be Jake?" Ella asked herself.
She called his friend.
"Hey, what's up?" The friend answered
"Good, err.....have you heard from Jake recently?"
"Nope, what's up?"
"It's just that I haven't seen him since morning, I'm afraid something has happened to him" Ella said scared.
"Calm down, Ella have you called 911?"
"Yeah, they said it's not 24hrs yet, I'm scared" She sobbed.
"Hey calm down, they're right, it's not up to 24hrs yet, hopefully he'll be back soon".
" I wish I could stay with you, just be strong okay" He said.
"Okay" She said.
"Alright, keep me posted" He said
"Sure" The call ended..
Ella sat on the couch waiting, she looked at the clock, half past 12am
"Who do I call, who do I call, who do I call?" She paced in the living room
"Vivian!"
She dialed her number several times before Vivian picked the call.
"Hello" Vivian answered with a sleepy voice.
"Hey, it's me Ella, sorry for calling this late".
"Okay, any problem?"
"No....I mean yes" Ella said.
"What happened?" Vivian asked and sat up.
"Jake's missing, he hasn't been home since 12pm , I went out by 8 and came back by 12, and since then I haven't seen him". Ella said.
"Have you called him? Vivian asked.
"Yeah, his phone is switched off"
"I was wondering if you've seen or heard from him" Ella said.
"No, no, I haven't, call 911" Vivian said
"I have, they said I should wait till after 24hrs"
