CHAPTER TWENTY –––––––– NORA WAS SITTING ON the window sill bench, watching the lake, when the intercom beeped. She grimaced and abandoned her place to answer the door. Being Canada Day, Matt had taken Nat to see some shows on Harbor Front, together with Marjorie and Becka. Although she had some apprehensions about the abilities running in the Winston family, she trusted Matt and his family with her son. The last two weeks had been awkward. Matt had always been polite but withdrawn, and Nora had spent time mostly by herself. They took their meals together, and Matt took Nat to visit Becka and Bryan regularly.
