ZOEY "Honey, wake up!" I heard my mother scream outside of my room as she was banging my door. I groan and lazily open my eyes. I looked towards my wall clock inside my room and it's 5:30 in the morning. "What is it, mom?" I shouted at her while still on my bed. I am still sleepy from watching movies series last night. I believe it's all about the result of my licensure examination. I am not bragging myself but I knew that I would pass it since I work hard for it during my college days and I loved my profession. "Honey just come downstairs, your dad will wait for you," she said. I rolled my eyes and got up from my bed. My mother will not stop pestering me if I refuse. I walked towards my bathroom and washed my face. After freshening up, I took my eyeglasses from the study table and walked out of the room. I was in the middle of the stairs when I heard my parents scream for excitement, especially my Dad. "Our daughter made it honey, at last we have a nurse in the family," my Dad said. I am confident that I will be a registered nurse since it's my dream but hearing those from my Dad make me happy, his been supportive to me ever since. "Dad," I called him. I saw my parents teary eyes, and my Dad ran towards me. He lifts me and spun around like a kid. I can't stop laughing from what he did. I remember my childhood, he always did this. "Oh, my God, honey you made Papa proud," he said while his tears ran down from his eyes. "I told you dad, I would make it," I said proudly. Dad just kissed my cheek after that. "I know that you can make it, and guess what you made it to the top 2!" he shouted and hugged me again. I was stunned by what he said. "What did you say, Dad?" I asked. My mom went to us and hugged me tight. "You made us proud, baby!" she said in between crying. "You made it to the Top 2," she added. I looked at her with disbelief still i couldn't process what was happening, until Dad turned on our flat screen TV and the news flashed the result of our Licensure Examination. "Good morning Philippines! The Professional Regulation Commission of the Philippines released the results of the Nurse Licensure Examination today. We all know that Filipino nurses are known to be brilliant in giving healthcare services global," the host said. Then it flashed to the screen with all the names of all the examiners who made it to the Top 10 and it's true my name was on the Top 2. I just can't believe it, all my hard work was paid off from sleepless night during my Duties and reviews. My Dad hugged us and kissed my mom's temple. "Thank you for giving me wonderful kids," he lovingly said. I looked at them even though their love for each other is still there. I smiled at them/. "Thank you for being the best parents to us," I said. Our moment was interrupted when my phone rang. I saw my big brother's name in the caller ID. "Congrats, brat!" he teased. I just rolled my eyes. "Woah, I didn't know you're smart, Top 2 huh?" he added. I smirked. "Remember what you said?" I told him. I heard him chuckle. "I already paid your Condominium and anytime you can move in," he said. I squealed with excitement. "If mom and dad will allow you!hahaha" he added. I pouted. "Of course they will, it was Dad's promise and besides it just a few blocks away from the hospital I applied," I replied. I just heard him chuckle. "Okay, please tell mom that I'll eat there for Dinner, I missed my favorite Adobo," he said. "I will not tell her," I teased back. He just laughed. "okay, I will just bring my surprise for you for being at the top," he said. My eyes went wide. "You mean you have other surprises for me aside from the condo?" I asked. My evil brother just laughed and hung up the call. I scowled when he didn't answer when I called him back. So, I just texted him that I will bake his favorite chocolate for dinner. "hahaha, you really know how to get what you want little sis," he replied. I replied to him with a smiley emoticon. "See yeah later," he replied back. I looked towards Mom who's busy talking with out maids. I think she's giving instructions on what to prepare for dinner. My mom is a great cook despite her busy schedules as a public teacher, she's hands on in everything in our home. ------------------------------------------ Wallingford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom GRAYSON I roamed my eyes inside the Bar, it was owned by one of my friends, Claudio. It's past 10 pm and I am here looking for my girlfriend, Eleanor. I receive a message from Claudio that she's here. That woman she's giving me a headache. Eleanor and I have been together for 5 years and i was about to propose to her on our anniversary next month but she was on vacation with her parents. She was working as an accountant in London that is why seldom see each other. And I was surprised that she came home without telling me. Our relationship was in turmoil started a few months ago since I am busy as well in my studies to be a surgeon and she in her career. She changed a lot after she moved into the city. I saw Claudio waving at me to come over. I nodded my head on him while my eyes are busy looking for my girl. "hey, dude!" Claudio greeted me with a fist bomb. I smiled at him but he looked at me seriously. "She's in the VIP room 11," he said, I nodded my head on him, I suddenly felt uneasiness on the way Claudio looked at me. He even accompanied me to the VIP room where Eleanor is. I opened the doorknob but to my surprise it was locked. My face frowned, things getting weird and my heart bit as well, it tells me that I will not like what I will see inside. Claudio showed me the duplicate key. I was stunned when I saw what my girlfriend was doing, she's naked and riding a naked blonde guy. I caught in the act that my girlfriend is having s*x with the other man. "What the f**k!" the blonde guy. I saw Eleanor's eyes wide when he looked at me. "Babe?" she said. My face frowned and I felt the pain of betrayal in my heart. Eleanor's face paled, she was about to stand away but the blonde guy wrapped his arm in her waist with a smirk in his eyes. "I am sorry, sweetheart but I will not let you leave, we're not yet done," he maliciously said to Eleanor. "Babe, let me explain," she said. She pushed the man and fix herself and walked towards me. "I am sorry," she said. I shook my head. "We're done, don't ever dare to show yourself to me again," I coldly said to her. She was about to hug me but I turned my back on her. I stormed outside of the Bar towards my Car. Then I saw Claudio running behind my back. I saw him leaving some instructions to his staff. I started the engine and drove away from the place, didn't bother to looked back when Claudio called my name. "f**k!" I cursed while driving. "How could she do this to me, I f*****g love her," I mumbled. I double my speed then with my cloudy eyes because of crying. I wasn't able to see the car run towards me. I just felt my head hit on something hard and I saw blood came out from my head before I lose consciousness.
