" Is your source reliable?" I asked Adina who was squatting besides me together with Avery.
We were hiding behind the flower bed behind Lady Leticia's room at Lord Callaso's estate.
" I'm positive. The scumbag is not spending the night in her chambers tonight." Adina replied.
" Cover me. Avery, get the car ready. We will be there in about five minutes." I instructed my two friends who nodded in understanding.
I was in disguise tonight incase of an accident happening,I could not risk my identity.
Stealthy,I moved towards the tree facing Lady Leticia's chambers and climbed it.
I jumped from the tree and landed on the window sill before crawling my way Inside.
" Look who is here? I have been waiting for you?" A magnetic voice greeted me, making my heart shudder.
How the hell was the man in the room? I thought he wasn't spending his night here with her.
But now was not the time to worry about that, I needed to get the two of us out of here before the scumbag called his bodyguards.
" I knew this b***h was having an affair with someone else, I just didn't know I would catch you so soon " Lord Callaso spoke, making me c**k my brows at him.
I was dressed like a man so I guess my disguise did the trick.
A whimper caught my attention and my eyes caught sight of the lady lying on the ground.
She had bruises on her face and dried blood on her clothes.
I didn't need anybody to tell me that he abused her physically.
The sight of her helpless figure reminded me of my mother.
Everytime father was angry, he would take it all on my mother. She never said anything, she took it all silently until she couldn't anymore.
I felt my anger rise and I saw red.
I lurched to the bastard, my fist throwing a punch at him which he easily evaded before kicking me. The kick caught me off guard, sending me flying and slamming on the wall.
" You think you can fight me?" Lord Callaso scoffed, making me grit my teeth.
The man was a strong one, afterall he's among the ten Lords of Lucland.
I struggled to stand on my feet before lurching to him again.
Although the man was stronger and skilled than me, I was fast so I used that to my advantage.
Giving him the illusion of attacking, I allowed him to dodge only to reverse and punch him in the guts.
I was aiming for areas to easily knock the Man.
I could not allow the fight to drag because I was sure to be defeated.
I did not give him time to rest before I dashed to him, my fist connecting with his ribs and kicking his crotch.
" You?" He stammered, his eyes fixed on my hair which had unpacked itself from the bun I had tied it.
My cap had also fallen off in the middle of the fight.
I was thankful that my mask and eye lenses were still intact.
Lord Callaso was busy clutching his manhood when using my fingers I pressed his acupoints and successfully knocked him out.
I dusted my hands before walking to the lady and helping her out.
The commotion must have alarmed the workers as a knock resounded from the door.
" Lady Leticia, are you alright?" A woman's soft voice called.
My eyes regarded the woman, waiting to hear her reply.
" I'm fine Anita,go back to sleep." She replied, making me heave a sigh of relief.
For a minute there,I thought she would sell me off.
She could have done it, afterall she watched me kick her husband.
I waited until I heard the footsteps of the woman at the door fade away before turning to the woman who was all tensed.
" Let's get out of here before anybody else comes." I said but she shook her head.
" I can't leave." Her broken voice as she said the words made my heart clench in pain.
" Listen, I came here to save you from your husband.Trust me, I will get you out of here safely." I said, my voice urgent.
" I can't leave, I don't have anywhere else to go. My parents…"
" Don't worry, I am not taking you to your parents. I will help you settle somewhere away from your husband and parents. You can choose to not trust me and stay, but then you have to explain to your husband who came into your room in the middle of the night." I said to her, giving her options.
She could choose to trust me and leave here or stay behind and endure her husband's wrath.
" Why are you helping me?" She asked and I sighed.
" Does it matter why I am doing it?" I replied, walking to the window and started climbing it.
" You have five seconds to make up your mind. Once I jump out, the offer is cancelled." I ended up threatening her.
" I'll go with you." She said, her voice filled with determination.
I guided the lady to our agreed meeting point, evading the guards patrolling, not like there were many of them in the first place.
The car was already waiting for us when we got there. I jumped in the back passenger seat and the lady followed before we zoomed away.
After ensuring that she would be taken to safety, I sneaked back to my chambers by climbing a third storey wall. That has always been my exit and entrance any night we have a mission planned.
Climbing through my window, I landed gracefully in my room before I started stripping off my jacket.
The lights being turned on suddenly made me jump in fright.
" Where are you coming from?" Johan's voice rang in the air as I turned to find him leaning on the wall near the door.
"What the hell! You scared me." I said, rolling my eyes at him.
" I asked a question. Where are you coming from?" The man ignored my remark and asked yet again.
" Where I come from is not your damn business!"
