Chapter 14

Tyler’s group said they also were given free time and had nowhere else to go really so they chose to stay at Violet's place.

"Why were they here again earlier?”Elise still looked confused as she tapped the wound she had on the side of her lip

"They were here to scare them Violet to leave the Games—but they failed" Ianned smiled as she explained

They were now in Violet’s and Glaze’s secret place where they even argued about who owned the place. Glaze is at the top of an old rickety slide. Tyler’s group stayed on the patchy grass below the playset while some of them are on the swings..

"Tyler, Can we ... Talk?" Violet asked

Tyler stood up so they walked away from us. Ianne sat down on the slide and looked down on the people below her. Her brothers were both actually having fun talking to the girls. Kora and Elise talked to Azce, Percy and Zace talked to Rex, while Aera and Zax played with Ash. Glaze and her were both silently sitting on the opposite sides of the play set.

That’s when she heard her stomach growl. With a sigh, she got up and headed towards the gate.

"Oh, where are you going?" Asked Kuya Rex

"Just gonna get snacks." Ianne replied

"I’ll come with" Kuya Azce volunteered

"No! Don't worry, I'll take care of it" Ianne just said, waving her hands at her brothers

He just sat down again so she went to the parking lot. Walking in the halls, she couldn’t help but to admire the beauty of the school, but she thought her loyalty was still with Gemlyn high. Once she got in her brother’s car, she quickly drove to the nearest store convenience store she could find.

"Good Morning, Ma'am." greeted the female guard

Ianne went to the junk foods section and took whatever she laid her eyes on and put it in the basket she was carrying. I also took a liter of coke and put it in the basket.After that, she went to the cashier to pay. She took everything she bought and went to the parking lot. 

As Ianne was approaching the car when she was suddenly overtaken by a stranger and covered her mouth. Panic entered her system as she was gently pressed against the wall and the man signaled 'sshh'.

"We can blow up both Jiyū and Monster Eyes bases, It'll be easy!"

Who is that?. I tried to peek but the man pushed me against the wall and motioned to silence me again.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Dan?! I prefer to play with them. We will play them in the Group Battles... Tsk, She will pay for what she did to Alexa" said the man "I want to kill Violet myself."

Ianne accidentally let out a soft gasp as the man moved to stand beside her to avoid being caught by the guys she couldn't really see.

"Shh, Dan. Someone is here..."

Her eyes widened. s**t. we can’t have been caught already.

“Let’s just get out of here. If someone caught us we’ll be dead meat.”

Ianne heard them running so she took a deep breath and stared at her feet. The man let go of her and she quickly touched his shoulder, stopping her from leaving so soon.

"Thank you... Mister?" Ianne paused

"Alcantara—Carvin Alcantara." He removed his hood and smiled.

"Carvin?!" Ianne asked, gasping

"Sup little Princess..." he greeted and touched her chin "Oh, You're welcome because I saved you"

"Saved?"

Ianne immediately frowned so he smiled and tapped his finger on the tip of her nose. "Right. You didn't even see it." He said while combing his finger through his hair "They have guns—and Knives as well."

She gasped in shock. Why would they bring weapons? In a mini supermarket parking lot?.

"I have to tell Violet." were her first thought ever since she heard what the strangers have been talking about

As she was about to leave, Carvin grabbed her arm and pulled her back. "Look, Ianne... I wanna help"

She paused then raised an eyebrow and folded her arms. “I’m a very rational person and things like these have meanings, so explain. We’re in different groups and right after you trespassed Violet’s school, you tell me this. Why?”

"Yes I know, we are a different group. That is also not possible in Gang Battles, but I want to help you. It’s all my sister’s plan. I go along with what they want because I do not want to be left behind. Our family had been part of the dominating lane for so long and I don't wanna be seen as a failure.” He scratched the back of his head "I really didn't want to attack before. Sharlotte and Mama were watching us, I know I was the one they were watching to attack—they never had to watch Kennet because he was already good at what he does." He sighed "But I promise Ianne, I will protect you. I will not allow them to hurt You. I also know Kenneth is just showing off to mama because Sharlotte had always been the Favorite "

The demon's life is also difficult, isn't it? It seems pathetic because he is not free, he is like a puppet of his Ate and Mama. But... How does Kenneth feel? How much pain have they been in because of such burden?

"Will Queen Gangster accept me if I move to your group?" He asked and saw the sadness on his face.

Ianne offered a smile and lifted his chin.

"Hey smile already, I’m not used to seeing you like that. But I'm sure Violet will accept you. Don't worry." She replied and tapped his cheek

"In the Gang Combats Championship, I will watch over you. I will not let anyone hurt you. Just watch out for my signals and gestures."

He left after hugging Ianne, while she was left standing there, stunned for some time. Ianne looked behind her and watched his back until it disappeared into the darkness. 

Ianne sighed and c****d her head back, sighing. She may be rational and reasonable, but she's not that careless. She’s actually thinking twice about Carvin’s words since he’s a bit of a sweet talker.

Finally back in her proper state, she took her purchases again and went back to the school. 

When she got back it was slowly getting darker, that’s when she realized the time. Ah, maybe we’ll just have a sleepover.

"Oh, Why are you late Ianne?" Azce asked

"Shizukana,Nii-san, The queue is just long" (Relax, big brother.) Ianne said with a smile

"Yeah whatever" he laid down again and she put her groceries next to him

"Guys, come and eat!” Ianne called

"Oh Thanks.” she said and stood beside her

She grabbed a bag of cheese covered chips and squeezed it open and began to devour the large bag of chips on her own. Ianne just laughed at her and handed her brother a bag of chips. Elise and Kora also took theirs. Rex and Percy followed—Zace was being dragged by Percy since she said she was too lazy to get up. 

Ianne threw food at the top and Zax and Glaze caught it. She continued to look around, but didn’t find Violet and Tyler. 

They’re not back yet? I wonder where they’ve gone to.
