Ezekial and I headed in the opposite direction to where the rest of the group were to search the houses. I may have lived here; and I use the term loosely; for eight years of my life, except those in the packhouse, I didn’t know where anyone else lived. We had just finished searching the second house which was abandoned and empty; “What are you doing?” Cornelius asked through a mind link to Ezekial and I.
I turned to gaze in Ezekial’s direction. I didn’t really want to tell them why I came to the Locus pack, but I didn’t want to lie to Cornelius and Ezekial either. They are my brothers and fellow Alphas. “We’re looking in some of the houses to see if there is anything salvageable before we tear them down” Ezekial answers for the both of us and I give him a relieved smile.
