Ariana pov I knew he was shocked when I said those words. He wanted to meet the kids so badly when he had that lost puppy kind of look. "Are you serious?" He asked again to be sure he wasn't dreaming. I rolled my eyes then I started walking to my apartment. I had a smirk on my face when he trailed behind me hastily. "Mom." My kids, Selena and Seth cheered at me. I took them into my arms as I moved further into the living room. "They did their homework and I made a paste. it's in the fridge." Amanda, my baby's nanny said to me. "Thank you so much, Amanda. I don't know what I'll do without you." I said to her. Amanda was recommended by the childcare agency and she has been working with me for the last four days. She has indeed been helpful. "You're welcome," Amanda said with a smile. I noticed her gaze shifted to Julian and she had a huge grin on her face. "It's not what you think," I said quickly. "Hmm," Amanda smirks, raising a brow. "I'll be back tomorrow," Amanda said. "Bye, handsome," Amanda said with a wink before she walked away. I watched as my kids waved to Amanda goodbye. I glanced at Julian and I realized he was glued to a spot. His eyes were fixed on the kids. "Mommy! Who is this strange-looking man." Seth said with a frown. "Mommy, is he your boyfriend?" Selena's eyes glowed with joy. "Mommy doesn't have a boyfriend." Seth fired back. Julian tried his best to hold back the laughter while my mouth fell open. "Who is teaching you guys such words." I sighed immediately. "Aunty Amanda said you don't have a boyfriend which makes you a single Pringle," Seth said. "Christ!" I muttered under my breath, pressing on the side of my head. "So Mommy is he your boyfriend?" Selena pouted, battling her lashes. I turned to Julian who was almost on the verge of rolling with laughter. "First of all I don't know why Amanda is teaching you guys such words but no he's not my boyfriend," I said to them. Seth smirked with Selena's gaze dropped. "Aunty Amanda said once you have a boyfriend and when you get married I'll have a daddy." She sighed in disappointment. I bite my jaws inwardly. Even though most times they try to hide the fact that they wanted a father figure in their lives I knew and understood their pain. I could also tell that Julian felt bad but it wasn't his fault. I was the one who ran away because I was scared. "Mommy doesn't need a man In her life, I'm here," Seth spoke with pride. Selena clicked her tongue and then shook her head. "Bird brain," Selena remarked. "Mom," Seth grumbled. "Selena, stop saying such words to your younger brother." I shunned. "She is only ten minutes older." Seth pouted as he crossed his arms. "That is not the point." I exhaled in exhaustion. Julian cheered for me from the side. "Kids, I want you to meet Julian Reed, your father," I said. "What!" Selena and Seth exclaimed. "Is he the reason why we moved back to this City?" Selena twirled happily. "Yes," I said, lying through my teeth. It was better this way because there was no way I was going to tell my kids their grandfather is after me and I'm working out a way with their father to destroy my family. "Yay." Selena beamed with joy. The next thing I know she jumped into Julian's arms. Julian was shaking with nervousness. "Hey, kid," Julian said to Selena after taking a deep breath. "I'm so glad mom found you," Selena said, hugging Julian so tight. I prayed he wasn't getting uncomfortable because Selena loved to be clingy and I wondered who she took this side from. While Seth on the other hand was not happy about the news. "Seth, are you not going to say hello to your dad," I said to him, hoping to lighten his mood. "He's not my father," Seth said. "Seth!" I called out loud, warning him to watch his manners. "If he is my father, where has he been all these years? Go to where you are coming from because I don't need you." Seth yelled then he ran to his room. I knew Julian was completely shattered. "I'm so sorry, he's not usually like this, I promise to talk to him," I said to Julian. "It's fine," Julian replied with a forced smile. "Daddy don't be sad Seth can be so annoying, don't worry I'll teach him a good lesson." Selena encouraged Julian. "Don't fight with your brother," Julian said. "Yes sir." Selena saluted. "Okay, young lady, it's bedtime," I said, taking Selena from his arms. The next day Julian and I were supposed to get the marriage certificate but Julian's grandma objected that everything was going too fast and we needed to take things slow. That was not what I was hoping for but if I was going to get my revenge I needed to exhibit some level of patience. It was Saturday so I didn't have to go to work. Julian promised to visit during the day so I tried to put everything in order. Seth still refused to speak to me and I was beginning to get frustrated. I eyed my son with a stern gaze as I poured milk into the bowl of cereal. Selena was humming happily as she scooped a spoon of cereal into her mouth, munching down happily. "Are you not going to speak to me." I groaned but he ignored me. I was about to yell at him when my phone started ringing. "Finish up your meal but we are not done yet," I said to him. "What is it?" I said to Julian over the phone. "It's my grandma." He said. I closed my eyes as a sigh escaped my lips. "She doesn't believe that we are together. She wants us to stay together in her mansion for a month before she can approve the marriage." He said. "What? What about the kids, we haven't even told her." I said, with panic rising in my chest. I heard the doorbell ring, and then Selena rushed to open the door. "Mom, someone is asking for you." She yelled. "Hold on Julian," I said walking to the door. My heart froze. The phone I held in my hands crashed to the floor as I watched my father carrying my daughter in his arms. "Hello, Arianna." He said with a smirk.
