Chapter Seven

~Jases P.O.V~

I wanted to see if Nicole wanted to hang out tonight, so I texted her, asking if she wanted to come over and hang out. She replied, telling me that she couldn't, she and her family had to go and eat dinner at the new neighbor's house. I texted her back, saying maybe another day when she was free. I started to get bored, so I played some games on my phone for a while. I heard a car pull up into the driveway. I didn't think anything of it. I thought it might be one of my brothers or dad coming home until I heard a knock at the front door. I went and answered it to see none other than Nicole. I smirked and asked if she really could stay away from me. She smirked and walked into the house and her parents to follow her in. I closed the door and felt a little embarrassed that her parents just heard me say that to their daughter, I and showed Mrs. Sams to the kitchen where my mom was and showed Mr. Sams to the den where my father was.

Nicole had jumped on my back while I was showing her parents where mine were, and she shouted, show me to your room. On the way up to my room, I tripped over 5 steps from the top Nicole jumped off my back and landed perfectly fine on the top of the stairs and shrugged while waiting for me to get up and join her at the top. My twin older brothers came out of their room and cleared their throats. Nicole turned around and looked at the twins and introduce herself and she went to shake both their hands but they pulled her into a bear hug instead when they let her go her eyes flashed 10 different colors all at the same time she looked freaked out. She must have noticed my brothers and I looking at her. She asked if her eyes were a different color we all nodded. She closed her eyes and looked like she was trying to calm herself down.

While she was doing that my brothers went downstairs to see what mom was making and to introduce themselves. When Nicole finally opened her eyes I pointed to my room. She walked in and smiled and said nice setup; I think it looks good. While I was showing Nicole the upstairs part of the house my mom called us to come down to eat. I sat across from Nicole, Jake and Mason sat on either side of her. My mom said grace and we all started to eat after she was done. I could see something in Mason and Jakes's eyes; I didn't pay much mind to. And within a drop of a hat Nicole's eyes changed to a deep red and she had a low growl in the back of her throat Jake and Mason continued to hold her hands till she almost snapped she somehow got out of it and she had a grip on Jake and Mason's hands their faces went from smirk to an expression of pain she let go of their hands and continued to eat.

After we finished eating the moms were in the kitchen doing the dishes and giggling like they've known each other forever. The dads were talking about something I didn't have to much interest in. I looked at Nicole and asked if she wanted to take a walk around the block she nodded and we walked out and started to walk around in the warm spring air. After we got back to the house, Nicole's parents were walking out the door and Nicole waved bye and got into their car and started to pull out of the driveway. We all walked back into the house and my mom asked if Nicole's family were like the rest of us I didn't have an answer so I shrugged and told her that i assume so from what ive seen Nicole's eyes do over the past few days.
