Chapter -18

" Are you alright Kuga ?", one of the companion questioned him.

"This is strange! It feels like something has just arrived here and watching us from somewhere. I don't like this feeling. Let's finish these two dump heads and migrate to some other place soon", Kugan talked to his companion in an anxious tone and ordered him to take their heads while he gazed at the forest without even blinking his eyes .

One of the Kugan's companion approached them and stretched his skinny and long arms behind and guided his weapon towards Raj's head in order to deliver a mortal wound.

His big and round eyes locked Raj's head as it's target and all of a sudden Kugan saw something accelerated towards them while constantly gaining speed as it's spinned in the air. Before Kugan could recognize it and react, the three pronged spear made it's way into the heart of Kugan's companion and freed his soul from his body right away. Its Ravanan's trident.

" s**t ! He's here ", Kugan panicked. Everyone in the village realised the shadow of death is sauntering and started to run from the place.

Everyone's eyes grazed in the forest, but couldn't even find his shadow. They lowered their body in a position to defend themselves and sharpened their vision. They could recognize something was advancing towards them.

Something suddenly fell on the ground and generated the dust in air. A figure walked from the dust and the face of the figure was no surprise to them. It's Ravanan walking towards the tribes.

Ravanan ignored everyone standing near them and made his way near his brothers and all the people instinctively stepped back from his path as he glowered with his volcanic deep red eyes.

" Are you already Kaali ? Take our brother and get out", said Ravanan to his brother Kaali.

" Raavanaa...Why did you come he...." , Raj babbled as he had been dragged by Kaali.

" Don't worry brother. Kugan needs thousands of men to take down our brother ", smirked Kaali as he carried Raj away from the place.

Ravanan grabbed his trident, walked towards Bindhu, leaned and gently slapped her pale white cheeks for which she let out a heavy breath on his hand. Ravanan felt like his life had returned back to him. He started to untie the rope of Bindhu.

Kugan signaled his men to attack from behind. His men hesitantly sneaked behind Ravanan.

Ravanan realized like a bee detecting the presence of a bird and kicked on the thigh of him and made him to smash his head on the ground , then he continued his work of freeing Bindhu's hands.

" What's wrong Ravana ? Are you trying to protect her ? You look really odd today. I knew her fiance was responsible for your loss yet you are trying to protect ? I don't want such a brave warrior of our forest to die pathetically for a woman. Just get up already Ravana. Let's settle our problem once in for all. No one would leave this place without giving me what I want. I swear", Kugan told Ravanan.

Ravanan took a pot placed near with a pot filled with fresh water and carefully lifted Bindhu's head and dropped a few drops of fresh water over Bindhu's dried lips.

Bindhu reacted by sucking the water on her lips and slowly opened her mouth a little wide with a difficulty. Then she opened her eyes and her hands touched Ravanan's hands and took away the pot from his hand and forced it all the way into her mouth with a heavy gulp sound and breathes. Ravanan took his hands off the pot and satisfied on seeing her honey brown eyes back to life.

" Yes Kugaa . You are right. I have kidnapped her to take revenge on her fiancee. I want him to know how it would feel when he lose his loved ones...... But I don't know how . She somehow went into my heart and it feels like all the nerves and veins in my body thinking about her. I knew she is stupid who jumped from a waterfall mountain in order to escape from us and I'm well aware that she had been scared of us and feel disgusted. But my heart doesn't obey my words nowadays. Those round and sharp brown eyes , pink coloured lips that could lure any bees by making it's appearance as a wild flower's nectar and that lotus white cheeks made me come all the way here", Ravanan smirked with a crazy smile on his face and scratched the back of his head.

When he stood from the ground , everyone brought their weapons closer to them ready to attack at any time . He wiped the blood stains over his trident and said ," So I have decided to have her all by myself. From now on she is all mine..... She has become my woman and if any one lay there eyes on her , I will slaughter their head without any hesitation. Do you understand big boys ?", Ravanan took his position by raising his trident towards their head, showing them that he was ready to fight them.

" Our mothers gave birth to sturdy rocks that will stand unshaken by anything and protect the forest. We befriended bulls, Rhinos, deer and even the venomous snake and feed together as a tribal men. The only fortune our fathers and mothers have left is this greenland. So I challenge you to take away my weapons if you kill me , Kugaa", Ravanan said to kugan.

Kugan responded by taking his spear and pointed it towards Ravanan's face amd said ," So I take it as your final decision and if you want me to kill you then I'm will do it as you said without any hesitation Ravana. I have been waiting for a chance like this".

Ravanan smirked back as a response and both stared at each others eyes.
