Chapter -14

Ravanan felt his inner beast getting awake, insisting him to kill Kumar. Ravanan closed his ears and fell on the ground with a weeping face stating,"Seems like I'm the fool here".

Raj brought him near Ravanan. "Get up Ravana, do it already" , Raj insisted while tightly grabbing Kumar's hands at his backside.

Kaali lifted his brother and forcefully handed his talwar to him ." Hold it tightly brother! It doesn't look like you", Kaali said.

" N-N-No ! No ! Raj, I'm Kumar Raj ! P-Please stop him. Ask him to stop Raj ", Kumar begged Raj but his eyes didn't even flinch.

Ravanan looked at the tulwar. His hands started to tighten around the tulwar. Tears halted it's flow and his eyes started to turn red again .

"Aaaaaaaaaaahuuuh " , Ravanan lifted his two hands in the air and roared aggressively . This brought back the smiles of Kaali and Raj . Those two were like "That's our Ravanan".

Blood frozen Kumar lost his speech for a second , his eyes widened in trauma. Bindhu was still sneaking and saw everything silently.

Ravanan took the tulwar in his hand and smirked. Those smiles were pure form of evil.

" Kaali ! Bring a sword ", said Ravanan and threw the finest blade at Kumar's foot.

" Ravana ! What are you doing ? Why did you throw your tulwar ?", asked his elder brother Raj.

" Our mother will be ashamed to see her son dying like a frightened pig. At least let's give him a honorable death by fighting with him ", replied Ravanan while Kaali gave a normal sword made out of rocks and animal bones.

He gazed at Kumar and said, " Take the tulwar and fight Kumar. If you kill me, you can go wherever you want. "

Kumar looked at the tulwar residing under his feet and grabbed it. He gathered some courage and dashed towards Ravanan.

Ravanan moved like a leaf and dodged all of his attack. Suddenly stabbed his brother with his sword.

" Come on, Kumar ! If you win, you are free ", Ravanan challenged him.

But Kumar lost his courage. He looked around for anyone to help. He noticed Bindhu sneaking from a cave's mouth. His mind sparked with an idea.

Kumar took the tulwar, ran into the cave and took Bindhu as a hostage.

" Leave me, w-what are you doing ? Let go of me ", Bindhu cried while Kumar forcefully dragged her out of the cave and placed the tulwar below her throat.

" Listen, Ravana ! I don't who she is but if you don't let me go, I will slice her head ", Kumar yelled.

But Ravanan ignorantly planted the sword in the ground and stood on its pommel ( handle of a sword). He perfectly balanced on the sword with his left leg.

" I'm serious Ravana ! If you don't let-"

Kaali interrupted Kumar's speech by laughing aloud.

Raj started to laugh and Ravanan accompanied him.

" Let me go ", Bindhu started to scratch Kumar's hand.

" Stop laughing you stupid ! Don't you get what I'm saying ", Kumar yelled in frustration.

" We don't have any problem. But Raghav will hunt you down if anything happens to her ", said Raj.

Kumar immediately pushed her. Bindhu crawled into the cave with her broken leg.

Finally Kumar came on to his knees and began pleading," Please brothers ! Please let me go. I won't step inside our forest again".

" So you are still planning to abandon our homeland. Why did betray our us Kumar ? I allowed you to get out of the forest and live your life. But you back stabbed us. Why ? ", asked Ravanan.

" I'm sorry brother. I'm sorry", Kumar's eyes filled with tears and he pleaded with his two hands joined.

" You are really lucky Kumar. Because you are going to meet our mother, in heaven ", he smirked and kicked the sword.

The sword hurled through the wind and penetrated Kumar's chest.

** Next day at the officers camp**

Ragav came out his tent with his brush and commanded the others to get ready. After the heavy rain the yellow flamed ball glistened in the sky and the entire trees and leaves glistened due to the presence of water droplets. Ragav deeply inhaled the fresh air and stretched his arms backward to feel the warmth of the day. He lifted his head and noticed the beautiful sky was accompanied with a strange scenario. He saw a group of eagles and crows rounding a tree . His curiosity dragged him near the tree and he perceived something was tied in the tree.

Laksman stepped out of his tent and enquired about Ragav.

"Boys! Hurry up and bring the first aid kit, painkiller and everything", Ragav's voice echoed at the left side of Laksman.

He rushed and saw Ragav under a tree. He had kept something over his lap. It's a man with a sword over his chest. Laksman asked his comrades to bring a truck immediately.

" Hey boys ! Get some painkillers. Prepare the truck, we need to take him to the hospital immediately ", Lakshman ordered his comrades.

" No need Lakshman. He's dead ", said Ragav while holding his hand.

" Do you remember him ?", asked Ragav.

Lakshman stepped closer and gazed at him. " He....seems like Ravanan's brother. But did he come here".

" They must have kidnapped him too", said Ragav.

" Those cruel heartless monsters. How could they kill their own brothers ", said Lakshman.

The crew decided to bury his body and move on.

"Even so , its still too cruel sir" Laksman said in a frightened voice. "But why did they tied his body here?" ,he asked Ragav.

"It's a warning Laksman. This is how our story will end too,If we proceed further into the forest. That's what he is trying to say", Ragav uprooted the tents.

" Boys ! Quick ! We need to move ", said Ragav and the crew decided to move further into the forest.
