Chapter -10

** Ravanan's home **

" Ms. Vaani, if you serve this rock hard meat which has all the flavour locked in it won't taste good and cause indigestion. Just smash the meat hard untill it tenderizes and add garlic paste which not only enriches the flavour but also help in digestion. If you need any help call my golden mango(Devi), she will aid you."

"Kaali and velu , Didn't I tell you to go and mend the boats. Fine, I'm not gonna do anything. You continue . When Ravanan comes he will squeeze you two like an orange until you vomit your organs."

" Wh-What ? The work will be over in a couple of minutes Raj brother. Why did you come out ? Don't worry we will take care of everything. ", they jumped and ran towards the river.

Raj chuckled and moved to scrutinise other works.

" Hey old man Bharani. Did you see Ravana ? He is not here right from the early morning", Raj was moving hither and thither around the little village with his giant body . He called the children as his village's blueberries and asked them whether they had seen Ravanan. The innocent children chirped with their sweet voices that they saw him jumping down from the waterfalls .

"Haaa..! That reckless i***t. Not at a time like this. Does he even understand what kind of situation we are in ? ", Raj groaned and grouped his hands over his head and sat on his back.

When he heard some weird sound, he raises his head with curiosity and noticed Ravanan

approaching the village while two woman dragging something behind his backside.

Seeing Ravanan made everyone happy and many voices enthusiastically addressed him .

" Hey Ravana where did you go ? I was searching for you all this long ", Raj exclaimed and the air was filled with joy and energetic voice ,but the people's voices slowed down and the entire place becomes silent when they saw bindhu .

" Let go of me you stupids ", Bindhu yelled.

Ravanan simply asked the ladies to tie her with the tree and asked them to feed her. He slowly walked away from the crowd.

"Who do you think I am ? I'm not here to eat and stay with you morons. Hey.... ! you get back here . If you handover me to Ragav , I will recommend him to spare your life or else you are all will be dead by Tomorrow. Let go of me you filthy woman. I warn you if you let me go, I will ask Ragav to spare your life you understand you two woman. Release me ! Release me !" ,Bindhu shouted like a pathetic squirrel as they dragged her near a tree.

"What are you staring at ?There must be a solid reason behind every single action of Ravanan. Just go and do the work assigned to you people ", Raj roared in a commanding voice in order to clear the chaos. Everyone desembled from the place and engaged with their own works.

** At Ragav's tent**

" Inspector Ragavendran, hard boiled police officer who created havoc in the criminal world by simply hunting down big fishes. A person with his own moral values", Bala praised Ragav as he relished the liquor and stated that he was his own fan. Ragav gave a slight smile and continued his work . "But.....I know well about Ravanan too. He might be a beast, yet he won't attack unless he's been disturbed. So it would be nice if you explain what happened between you too ", bala asked as he kept his hand on his forehead. Ragav finished his work ,packed the hammer and the unused stakes inside the case .

" Ravanan the reincarnation of devil, that's how everyone address him. A twenty 22 years old boy who was born inside this forest filled with wood, leaf and animals. A boy who killed countless wild animals in order to protect his family and friends. He would divide hell and heaven into two if anyone messes with his men. His overwhelming strength gained popularity outside the forest . Everyone of his men has a tatoo that represents trident which means Ravanan. He is the main reason for every single riots and there are 26 murder cases including animals and police officers . Two years ago, I became a police officer with the only intension of taking him down. I tried everything I could to take down his head . I even got a chance , but he slipped out of my hands in an instant and that name vanished in the air. It's been an year since I heard about him and now he is back to have his revenge", Ragav stated.

"Everything you said is agreeable. But what would a teen age boy do when he witness his father being dragged by a nine feet tiger ? Ravanan couldn't even find his father's bone, all he could unearth is his torn and blood stained clothes. Everyone of his men and women was mistreated, humiliated and stole their daily resources too. All these made a deep scar and That's when Ravanan took the trident and mercilessly uprooted their intestines. These tribals people are capable of turning a deserted land into sss. They could predict the climatic change just by observing the changes in the sky and animal's behaviour. Now Pride, bravery and this forest are there only leftovers. Ravanan isn't a beast. He took the form of a beast to survive this wildness of animals. The animals are us who constantly destroy their territory ",Bala replied with a serious face.

" Whatever it is ! According to our law , Ravanan is a murderer, extremist . He is a fast growing threat that need to be eliminated before it reaches it's full form ", Ragav calmly replied .

"Sir! I guess he is Ravanan's spy and I don't a have feeling about this drunken monkey. If you allow me, I will pummel him and suck out the details about Ravanan", Laksman asked with keenness.

"Hey tree humping sloth ! When did you get here ? " , Bala started laughing again ,lied his head on the dry soil and lifted his legs into the air.

" Don't get worked up Laksman. He is just blabbering and will be fine by the morning. He promised to take us to Ravanan's place. So get some rest and be ready by morning", Ragav said to Laksman .The noisy camp became tranquil in a minute.
