I heard the silent “to you” at the end of Gabes’ sentence, knowing he was not happy with my decision of principessa.
“Theoretically, yes,” I said with a slow nod. “But I have no illusions. Her status will come out sooner or later. It’s better if she is already acquainted with the additional detail, then.”
They both nodded, already understanding what I was implying.
“I agree most girls who come to mind are interested in your name too much, or busy with other assignments,” Val said, with brutal honesty. “But…”
A smile spread on her lips, and she exchanged a look with Gabe. I waited. She was never dramatic without a reason.
