“Why aren’t you married to Liam yet, Sophia?” The emotion in her voice made me nervous.
This conversation had been brought up for years, even before Liam married that wretched woman. I was supposed to be the one to marry him, and everything just became even more chaotic.
People knew she was utterly obsessed with Liam and wanted him for herself. It was so irritating because even after her death, she still caused trouble.
“Mother, I’ve already talked to Liam about this. He said the wedding will happen once everything is ready.”
A wave of sadness flooded over me. I lied to my mother back then because I didn’t know what else to say. Liam kept telling me he was still married to Amelia.
