When he leaned in, close enough to share her breath, slowly slipping her clothes off, Serene never even thought to resist.
"But... how are you here?" Serene asked, her voice barely a whisper as she gazed up at the man leaning over her.
He didn't say anything. Instead, he smiled softly, leaned down to kiss her, and silenced her with that kiss, putting an end to her questioning.
The next morning, Serene was jolted awake by the dull ache throbbing through her neck and hips.
She turned her head to look at the bed, only to find it empty.
Dragging herself out of bed, Serene headed to the bathroom.
In the bathroom, a piercing scream erupted.
"A... A mark! How could there be another one on my neck?"
She still hadn't gotten to the bottom of the last mark. And now there was a second one.
