I got back into the hospital room few minutes after mum. Everyone surrounded Dimitri's bed and whatever Darcy was telling them must have been hilarious because they were all laughing, including Maya.
It was a beautiful sight.
"So what are we discussing?" I asked, taking the seat next to Hope.
"Sharing our most embarrassing moments, want to make a contribution?" Maya asked with a challenge in her tone.
"Yeah sure. Why not." I said causing Mum and Dimitri to burst into fits of laughter.
"Mom, what did you tell them?" I asked.
"Nothing much." She said sheepishly.
"Just how you once peed yourself while-"
"Jeff!" Maya said cutting him short.
Everyone burst into laughter and although I should have been embarrassed, I could not be more grateful for this moment.
