"Yes mum. I should be back in an hour or so." I said with a yawn. I was definitely going to be a sleepy mess later today.
My mum rambled about me being careful and not doing anything that'll get me pregnant. She ended with a lazy 'I love you.'
"I love you too mate. Happy thanksgiving." I said to my mum before hanging up.
"You know if you still don't want to talk we're just going to remain seated here. I'm in no hurry to leave." Damon said with a cocky smile.
I sighed tiredly not understanding why he won't just give up already. We've been sitting in the car for over thirty minutes now.
Wait a minute!!
Don't tell me you thought I was just going to open up to Damon. Of course not.
That was my biggest secret, neither my best friend nor my family knew, so why should I tell him?
The only thing Damon has ever done is annoy the hell out of me, maybe except for that day at the park when he tried comforting me.
"Are you even listening to me?" Damon said bringing me back to reality.
I just stared at him with a blank look.
"You know what...fuck it. I don't care." He started the car's engine and began driving onto the road.
"So much for trying to be nice." He mumbled under his breath.
He looked really angry and I decided it was better to keep my mouth shut.

We finally got to our street and I couldn't be happier when I saw my house few blocks ahead.
Damon was totally mute the rest of the trip back but you could feel the anger radiating from him.
I let out a sigh of relief as he packed in front of my house. For a split second, I was scared that at some point during our drive home Damon was going to lash out, but to my surprise he didn't.
I turned to face him and was about telling him 'thank you' as I took my seat belt off but was cut short when he glared at me.
"Out." He said very harshly.
"B...but" I stuttered as I racked my brain for something to say. I really didn't see his reaction coming.
"Now." He said and looked away from me.
"You know what, go screw yourself." I said shoving my middle finger in the air.
I got down from the car and as soon as I shut the door, he zoomed off.
"Such an asshole." I said to myself as I walked to my door. I couldn't wait to lay on my bed and sleep.

Thanksgiving had been awesome.
From the food, down to the phone calls from our family members.
Friday and the rest of the weekend went by in a flash and here I was on a beautiful Monday morning, at my locker trying to pick out my notes for the first period.
I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and to make things worse, it was my time of the month.
Things couldn't get worst.
"Hey girlfriend." Miller said kissing my neck.
Ewww.
Sloppy and disgusting.
I guess I spoke too fast, things could actually get worst.
"Leave me alone Miller. I'm not in the mood." I said pushing him away from me.
"But you don't dictate the mood pretty face, I do." He sounded slightly angry.
"And I'm thinking we can have a little fun before the bell goes." He said giving me a once-over.
I rolled my eyes at him. Such a pig.
"No." I said going back to my search for my notebook for first period.
"But you will Kim, don't you remember our deal?" He said grabbing my arm causing me to flinch lightly. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some softie, neither was his grip tight, but it hurt.
Get your notepads and pens people.
Another thing to know about me is that the first one or two days of my period, everything about me is heightened.
If I'm angry, I'm extremely angry. If I'm happy, I'm rainbows and sunshine. I easily get exhausted and most importantly like what just happened, my skin becomes really sensitive so the slightest thing can cause pain. I think you get what I mean.
"Stop being so dramatic and let's go." Miller said impatiently bringing me back to earth.
"She made it clear she doesn't want you near her. Back off cooties dispenser." Maya said angrily swatting his hand away from mine.
"I would really mind my business if I were you." Miller snared moving close to Maya who I must say didn't look phased.
This girl really was something else.
"Try me Miller. Unlike you, I don't think from that little toy south." She retorted earning a lot of comments from those watching the scene.
Miller backed her up against a locker and was about to say something when a very angry looking Cole hit him square in the face.
"Don't you ever come that close to her in this world and the next." He looked beyond angry.
"Show's over." Jeffrey said just as the bell went.
This wasn't how I expected my little talk with Miller to go, but this definitely lightened my mood.

I should have just asked mum to call the school and exempt me from classes today.
I was in a grumpy mood for no reason and my body hurt. Nope, not my stomach, my thighs, they were hurting so bad.
The bell had just gone and I was heading to my last class before lunch break. In the process of everyone rushing for their next class, some boy hit me and judging from how weak I was, I got shoved straight into a locker.
My whole body was on fire, I tried to calm myself down by taking deep breaths.
I was hurting so bad I didn't want to try moving my body from that spot.
Before long, the hallways were empty and I finally crumbled to the ground.
You know how everything is heightened right, well I was currently frustrated and in pain and the combination of both led me to tears.
I was straight out ugly crying at the moment. Period mood swings were the terrible.
I suddenly felt a hand drape over my shoulder and was pulled into a hard chest. I would have freaked out and punched the culprit if not for the familiar scent of mint that hit my nostrils.
He was drawing circles on my back and saying comforting words to me and although I still hated him for his rudeness, I didn't push him away, I needed this at the moment.
We sat like that for a few minutes after which I told him about my body hurting, intentionally omitting the reason for it though. We both went to the school clinic and got painkillers and passes for the rest of the day, Damon actually got a pass because my mum didn't pick her call so he decided to help.
We were getting into his car with my house as destination. The nurse had given me sleeping pills to use when I got home so I can be a little relieved but my dumb ass couldn't wait till I got home, so I took the pill as soon as Damon started driving. My vision got really blurry and I guess I got knocked out.
