"You look stunning girl. I'm sure every guy will be drooling because of you during the party." Hope said sounding like a proud mother. Today was finally Friday and I was going for Cole's party. I'm not really one to be concerned about my appearance, but I also had no intention of  looking like some awkward piece of s**t, that'll only give Darcy something to laugh about.  Which is why I decided to FaceTime Hope. It’s often said that two heads are better than one right? "Are you sure?" I asked a little unsure about the boots I was wearing. “Are you kidding me? Girl you look stunning. If I was a guy I’ll totally do you. Now get your ass down stairs and on your way to that party, you're already an hour late." She said clapping her hands excitedly...typical Hope style. "Thank a lot." I said getting my purse from my desk. "Bye. Love you. Send pictures okay. And don't stop yourself from having fun. You deserve to be happy again after that scumbag who calls himself-" "That's okay. Let's not talk about it. Bye Hope." I said cutting her off from whatever she was going to say. The last thing I needed was thinking of my ex during a party that promises to be fun.I didn't want to reopen healing wounds. ****************************************** Everywhere was packed. I have been a regular party goer since I was fifteen years old, but I still have not gotten used to the whole loud music concept. I find it dangerous to the ears, if that makes any sense. I must give Cole's parents credit though, this house is really big, the furniture and decorations are exquisite. I started looking  around the room for a familiar face because, talking to complete strangers at a party usually doesn't end well for me. "Kim!" Someone shouted and I turned in the direction of the voice to see the girl from the cafeteria. I think her name is Maya not too sure I can remember though. "Hey. Maya right?" I asked silently praying I got her name right. I didn't want to seem rude. "Yeah. I didn't know you were coming for the party, I'll have come to pick you up." She said cheerfully.  "You look stunning by the way." She added giving me a once over.  "Thanks girl. You look good too." I said with a smile. "Miller is somewhere near the kitchen. Have fun and use protection." She said wiggling her brows as she walked away. The second part of her statement definitely wasn't expected, she was crazy and had no filter, I'm sure Hope will love her. After standing and accessing the house a little more, I couldn’t find any familiar face so  I decided to go to the kitchen area and find Miller. Might as well act like a proper couple in public. I walked to kitchen and fortunately, Miller was near the counter his back to me. I approached him with a smile and tapped his back to get his attention. "I'm f*****g busy are you-" He said turning towards me but his speech changed when he faced me. "Oh s**t! Kim it’s you." He said in shock and a somewhat guilty voice.  That's  when I decided look at what or who was keeping him busy and to be very honest, when I saw that devil’s face, I was a little pissed. "Hey Kim." Darcy said waving at me with an evil smirk. Her lips were swollen, her lip stick was smeared on her lips, her top was unbuttoned to the very last button and I could see f*****g hickey marks all over the exposed part of her chest area. "Care to explain?" I asked Miller. "Kim I'm so sorry. It’s not what it looks like." He said while Darcy just kept laughing. No, this wasn't an act, I was really angry and he knew why.  Of all girls to mess around with, he had to pick Darcy. I've seen him make out with other girls this week and it didn't hurt, but this was different, it was Darcy. The girl who pissed me off and called me a slut.        He knew how much I loathed her and what he just did will only boost her ego. "Its exactly what it looks like Kim." Darcy said buttoning her shirt up.                                                             "Maybe I could teach you how to satisfy your man because it seems like you are not doing a very good job" She said just as she hit my shoulder and walked out.  Everyone in the kitchen just stared at me, some in pity and others in shock. I was shocked too, I'll normally have a nice comeback for this, but that last sentence from Darcy hit so close to home. It reminded of something that happened with my ex.  "Kim don't listen to her, I'm so-" Miller started talking but I cut him off. "f**k. What was that for?" He screamed after I had given him a resounding slap.  "That's for being a w***e with Darcy." I said smiling when I saw my faint fingerprints on his cheek. I was hurt, God knows I was really hurt, not by Miller cheating but by Darcy's statement.  I wasn't going to cry though, the best option was to get wasted. This was a party after all, time to have fun and put what just happened behind me. But there was one thing I was sure of, I was never going to consider taking Miller's proposition of taking this relationship serious if we actually felt anything, because I was never going to feel anything for him at least not after tonight. So me being me, I turned towards the crowd that was still staring and shouted out loud "Let's get wasted kids." with confidence. And just like the party-crazed people most of them are, they started cheering, clapping and went back to drinking or grinding one another.  I was definitely getting wasted. But what I didn't know was that I will regret it.
