DAMON'S POV. "I didn't know how to tell her. And you can't blame it on just me, there's Jeffrey and Damon too." Cole said to the girl I remember helping us change Kim after the whole party thing. He looked both worried and scared.  "That's no excuse, you guys promised you'll tell her." The girl looked really pissed as she yelled at Cole. "And if I may ask, what's going?" I said as coolly as possible. "You!" She said angrily as she poked me hard in the chest.  "You're such an asshole. So much for thinking you'll keep to your words. She's going to hate you guys so much." She said as she pushed past me in a bid to walk away.  "What the hell are you talking about? I barely know you and who you are referring to?" I asked holding on to her arm. "Kim!" She screamed angrily.                                                                                                                                   "Kim is the 'her' that I'm referring to and I don't know why you guys were stupid enough not to tell her about the incident at the party. Someone took a video of the scene and now she knows and she's so pissed. Congrats." She took in a deep breathe afterwards and glared at me. This was not good at all. We'd been avoiding her since then because we didn't know how to tell her. Nothing happened to her, but still that's something hard to digest. News like that will make anyone uncomfortable. "Where is she -?" I couldn't remember this girl's name. Not even sure she ever told me. "Maya, my name is Maya. And unfortunately I have no idea where she stormed off to, the only clue is that she isn't on school property. I've tried calling her but she isn't picking up." Maya said showing me her phone. She had called Kim about five times. "Maybe we should try calling her." Cole suggested after being silent during the whole conversation. I confirmed Kim's number and pressed the dial button. Three attempts later and still nothing from her. She must really be pissed then.  "No luck." I said to my expectant audience consisting of Jeffrey, Maya and Cole. "Try one last time." Maya said looking hopeful.  The bell for the end of lunch break just went but by the look of things, none of us was leaving till we were sure she was okay. I did as Maya said and dialed one more time. First ring, nothing Second ring, nothing Third ring, still nothing I was about hanging up when I heard her voice from the other line. "I don't want to talk to anyone so just leave me the f**k alone." She sounded really mad.  It's probably going to get worse when she knows who's on the line. "Just calm the hell down already." I said curtly, I felt like I should rile her up just a little more.  This action however earned me three deadly glares. "Damon?!" She said sounding very unsure. "No. Its your guardian angel from heaven. Where the hell are you?" I replied as I began walking to the school doors, Maya, Jeffrey and Cole following closely behind. We had a brief argument which involved Kim cussing me the hell out, before she finally gave in and told me where she was. Maya, Jeffrey and Cole wanted to come along but for some weird reason, I felt all of us going there to meet her will make matters worse.  So after a lot of arguing and convincing, I was on my way to meet Kim at the park alone. ****************************************** "I said I was sorry, what more do you want?" I said a little pissed. I was really beginning to lose my patience, apologizing has never really been my forte. I'm beginning to think I should've let someone else come to her instead of me, in the last forty minutes our only achievement has been lashing out on each other. "What more do I want? Seriously? You guys hid something as important as this from me and you're asking me that kind of question. Do you even know how embarrassed I was when Maya came to show me that video? Or wait do you know how hard its going to be for me to face the entire school while this video is still viral?" Kim said looking really furious. "Look, we'll try our best to sort things out in school and I promise you that no one will say anything to you about it." I said moving closer to her in attempt to be comforting. I really sucked at this. "Have you ever asked yourself if I'd ever been through something like this? It's not just about people knowing, its also about me." She screamed at me and suddenly started crying. "I...wait what do you mean?" I was about to come up with something nice in an attempt to calm her down before the weight of her words dawned on me. I tilted her chin upwards so I could look her dead in the eyes. What the hell did she mean? "I...I-" She stuttered as she tried to form some words but was interrupted by the buzzing of her phone. She immediately moved away from me. It was a good thing though, it gave me the time I needed to try and fully understand what she said. I looked towards where she stood and watched as the color in her face slowly drain and she started turning red in what looked like rage. I moved closer to where she stood still staring at the screen of her phone. "Kim are you okay?" I asked turning her to face him. I'll normally not be this concerned about anyone outside my circle of friends, but in the little while of knowing Kim, I knew she wasn't the emotional type of person and was definitely hard hearted. So seeing the tear drops on her cheeks was quite troubling. "Hey, you'll be fine." I said pulling her in for a hug. For a split second I thought she'll hit me or something but she hugged me back. Something was definitely up. "No one makes Kimora Martins cry and gets away with it." She said after a while, pulling away from the hug and picking her stuff up. From the tone of her voice, I knew better than to stand in her way, so I watched her storm away.  I don't know what exactly is going on, but the only name I saw on her screen when I moved close to her was Miller. If he was the reason for her crying, he was definitely f****d up. I had never seen Kim this hurt.  Damn! She even let me hug her without passing a snarky or degrading comment my way. I had nothing left doing in the park so I started the walk to where my car was parked. Two questions were reeling in my mind. 1. What did Kim mean by her statement about going through something like that? 2. What happened between her and Barry Miller? I needed answers to both questions because I knew I was going to be restless if I didn't get them.  It wasn't really any of my business but seeing Kim in that state was kinda scary.  I may be an annoying jerk but I'm still human and compassion was a human emotion. Also, I really disliked Miller so why not.
