Chapter 2

|| OKSANA CASTILLO's POV ||

" Hel..loo.. everyone...The treat is on me today! Have a blast tonight!"

I raised my wine up in the air, the crowd applauding happily. One thing, I had after coming in this pack,money. Dimitri was forced to bring me here. He dropped me straight in this bar but didn't leave my side for a second. It was so annoying. I wanted him to be my driver but he became the babysitter instead.

I wasn't clear headed, smoking and drinking. The reason behind the restriction of this GGR bar was known to everyone. The bar was owned by Kendrick's biggest rival. Last time a few kids from our pack came to hangout here. It caused mascara. After that time, the bar was banned for us.

I gulped the cold wine, the coldness failing to sooth my heart. Each time I recalled Kendrick and Zendaya together, my stomach twisted in pain. Probably Kendrick didn't even notice that I was gone from the party. Burying the cry behind my throat, I raised another glass again, cheering with the crowd with a fake smile,

" Cheers to the night, Guys!!"

The young boys all echoed in chorus, loud music began again. I drank a lot until I couldn't even keep my eyes open. In my blurry vision, I saw Dimitri a few steps away, pinching his forehead in frustration. I giggled like a child upon his reaction. I wanted to see the worry and embarrassment on Kendrick's face badly.

From my left corner, someone hissed suspiciously, swaying their bodies together,

" Hey... Doesn't she look like the Luna of the DeVille?"

" Impossible! They aren't allowed here anymore!"

A triumphant smile curved on my lips. Everything was going according to my wish. It was the perfect opportunity to show Kendrick what I could do without him. Grabbing the whole bottle of beer, I clapped my hands together to draw everyone's attention,

" GUYS! GUYS!! Today..I have a proposal for you. You can see that I have come alone and..no companion?"

Some of the excited boys nodded their heads eagerly, their eyes drooling on my body. I was always known for beauty. My foster mother used to hate that I was called beautiful than her own biological children. She deliberately called me 'Ugly' to shut down my spirit.

I grinned at them seductively, climbing on the counter bar to say it amusingly,

" Whoever wins this fight..I will let the guy kiss me."

The crowd erupted in excitement, the boys had already started fighting. I watched them groggily with a grin, amused to see their interest. Only if my mate had ever shown such interest in me. The men with mates could only stand back reluctantly. But the young boys kept competing among themselves. I had a great time, watching them arguing and almost hitting each other's faces. After a terrible argument, a Blondie guy stepped ahead first, losing the other guys behind.

At that very moment, I regretted my actions a little. After all, kissing a stranger in the bar was never Luna's status. Before the guy could take me, a tall silhouette came in front of the speed of light. His handsome face hovered on me, forcing my lips to pry open. Wine and smoke flavored air filled my mouth. The kiss was rough and salty as if the predator was punishing me for something.

A deep voice growled at the crowd, blocking my view from them,

" The fun is over, Get back!"

Reality struck me hard. I blinked several times until I managed to see the face clearly. It was my beta, Dimitri who was supposed to maintain distance from me. I was too drunk and clueless. The blonde suddenly let out a cry of anger, fuming in his words,

" That's cheating! She said whoever wins! "

Dimitri snapped his head behind, his deep arrogant voice coming out threatening,

" Try me, Kid!"

The blonde seemed like he wanted to fight but Dimitri's aura forced him to stay away. I was shocked to see that a beta could have such a powerful aura. With a single word, he drove away all the Alphas sons.

I let out a giggle, trying to lighten the atmosphere,

" You..are so.. scary..Dimitri.. really..you.."

He grabbed my arms fiercely, yanking me up,

" I can be more scary Luna if you don't go back with me! NOW!!"

The next moment, I was lifted in the air, immediately disappearing from the crowd.

|| Dimitri's POV ||

" Mommy...."

A little, tiny voice melted my heart. I looked behind to see the little guy standing, his little hands rubbing his eyes. He seemed like he had woken up from sleep.

Raemon DeVille, my Alpha's son!

I tucked her mother on the bed. She was going all crazy in the bar. Thankfully, the other guy didn't kiss her. It would have been a disaster. Apparently I wanted to leave her there alone but I couldn't bear to do that after watching her cries. Although she was cheering, she was broken from inside.

I turned to lift Raemon in my arms, assuring him with a smile,

" Mommy is okay, baby. She is just tired and fast asleep. You got nightmares again?"

Raemon nodded his head groggily and buried his little head into my neck. This little guy had a tendency of being freaked out by nightmares. I saw Oksana cooing him in the middle of the night many times. Patting on his back, I brought him out of the room, letting him fall asleep on my shoulders.

To my surprise, Alpha Kendrick showed up out of nowhere, his dresses were disheveled. I just hoped that he didn't f**k Zendaya tonight. Multiple times, I caught them but today was special. Oksana was already broken over everything.

Alpha Kendrick paused in his steps to shoot me a confused glance, his eyes narrowing. I kept my head down but didn't wake Raemon. His voice came out sharp and groggy,

" What are you doing in my private quarter, Dimitri?"

I kept my words simple and firm. In no way, I didn't want him to find out the unexpected kiss incident between me and his Luna. I replied after giving him a short, one hand holding Raemon carefully,

" The little prince was sleepwalking. I came here to send him back to his room, Alpha."

Kendrick nodded his head with a slow hum, his eyes softening. He had a soft spot for this little guy. Regarding Oksana, he felt nothing. Keeping his voice low, he ordered in a sober voice, not bothering to fix his clothes,

" Put him back on the bed and come to my study. We have an important announcement ahead."

" You asked for me, Alpha?"

I stood in front of the desk, Kendrick flipping through his files. He looked half drunk but still forced on the matter. I knew that he was craving this position for too long.

Alpha Kendrick began to speak arrogantly, his eyes sparkling in happiness,

" Now since I have become the Alpha king, I am supposed to announce my heir, isn't it?"

My body was stiffened by his words. Announcing heir required a ritual. The Alpha's son needed to show the dominance the same as his father. Raemon didn't have the abilities if I was guessing the right point.

" Dimitri??", Alpha Kendrick's voice snapped me out of my daze. Coming back to my senses, I stuttered worriedly,

" But... isn't it too early? He is only five!"

Kendrick snorted coldly, his tone carrying a proud,

" I showed dominance when I was just two, Dimitri. My son can never be such a slow learner. Announce it to the pack. I am going to enlist Raemon as my successor tomorrow."

I held my breath tight in my lungs. It was over!
