The emperor's lineage

I was awakened by the sound on the rain hitting the roof, the wind wheezing by the window, the water from the roof touching the road, different snores coming from the gates. I sighed, knowing it was the day, and almost that moment I wished and prayed never came. Silently and deep down I pray and wish that maybe ,just maybe this rain was a sign and a blessing from the gods to save us all from the sacrificial ceremony that was to take place today.You must all be wondering who I am and what all the fuss and worry was all about. Well I am almost a nobody ,a mere slave[the lowest class here in this kingdom],I was called ocean, cause I was found by the shores of the ocean whilst the slave masters were on their way to a ship.When you find yourself growing up in the athen[the slave camp where we are kept],you tend to lose all sense of humanity ,no family ,no friends ,I mean who wants a friend when all you can think of is survival.You wake up everyday to the whips of the kia’s[guard],awful smell form the dungeon, torments from the mistresses ,the masters stares, harsh climate, hunger, thirst……….and it feels like it’s never ends ,its repeat day in and out until that moment……now………
