The torture 2

Ocean P. o. v

 It was a really rough ride due to the roads we passed through in the woods. Ariadne explained to me after our first stop that we were to go through the woods for 2 days, then go on a ship for a day and half before crossing to the crescent kingdom. She explained it was a very cold place often covered in snow, that was a big disadvantage to those who ever thought of attacking the kingdom. I have never seen the snow because we were mostly locked in the athen during the snow and we only made use of underground passage to go to the master place. We had our first stop after a while and we hot out of the carriage, when Ariadne lead to a large tree to relieve ourselves with Lilian help. I noticed Theseus glaring at me and I felt really uncomfortable. Once we were back in the carriage, we continued our journey. Sometime later, we had another stop, and I could still see him sending cold stares toward me. After two stops, it was dark and the moon was out. Theseus informed us that we were to set camp at that place. We got out with the other man’s help and I noticed him glaring at me awkwardly, like he disgusted by me. I felt cold immediately because my mind wandered back to what Theseus said, this was one of his men after all. I made my way toward a tree and stayed there while they set up camp, Ariadne most have noticed my despair because she came to me while I was by the tree,

“ your body must be aching from all the rough ride, you should eat and rest”,

“ thank you, you are the only one who does not find me disgusting”,

“ what do you speak of, you are important to our lineage” She glanced towards her brother and said,” he is herd headed, just give him time it might be hard but as long as am here he would not hurt you”, She said while I was lost in thoughts, that means she also knows that her brother would hurt me once she is away.

I sighed sadly, “ his looks frightens me”

“ do not bother yourself, that’s how people feel too, except me because I know he his kind hearten deep down,” she said

I could see Lilian setting the pots to cook and in no time super was cooked. Ariadne led me to the sit by the fire,

“ You should eat something,” Ariadne said,

“ No, I cannot stomach anything now” I said shaking my head

“ just leave her sister, I guess she must be missing her master” I heard Theseus say

I looked up and he was looking like he could break me, I could not reply, so I looked down,

““What!, it’s the truth, she might have been saved by you the other day, but another time will come, and I beckon it will come soon!.........just you wait………, by now I was close to tears,

“Theseus, enough!” Ariadne said, she looked angry….,I looked up to see him make his way towards the woods, I informed Ariadne that I needed to relieve myself, she offered to come with me but I refused while going in the other direction, I would not want to run into Theseus. I found a spot near a tree and leaned on it, I had no need to relieve myself but I just needed time to think. I broke down in tears when I heard a stick break like someone stepped on it, I looked back to find no one there. It was dark but I felt really scared.

I got up dusting off my dress trying to make my way back to the camp when I was pulled to the ground, and felt myself been dragged toward the sound I heard before, I screamed hard but whatever it was did not stop. I was pulled up and I felt a hand cover my mouth to stop me from screaming, I felt blood tickle down my arm and head.

“ who would have thought, that Theseus would leave his golden treasure all by herself”,

In no time I saw Theseus appear from nowhere, he must have used his powers again. Soon I saw Ariadne running towards us along with Lilian and the other man,

“ Alexandros, what is the meaning of this, release the girl now”, Ariadne ordered, she looked really angry

“dearest sister, how lovely to see you” Alexandros said, that was when I remembered him, I was wondering who the voice belonged to

“ I would not say the same for you”, what do you want? Father would have your head for this”

 “ no sister, he would not have my head because no one would have a report to give him, Men now!”. I felt him dragging me with him backwards and I saw some men running to fight Theseus and the rest of them. Theseus still held his cold stare and he was not frightened by the sight of the men. Ariadne hissed while pulling out a long whip with blades on it, with that Theseus was gone. Why would that devil leave in a situation like this! He really is a devil and a beast. I was crying heavily but I stopped when I looked up to see the bodies of the men on the ground. They were all dead, I figured Ariadne could defend herself after all, I smiled when I saw that she was safe and so was Lilian who I noticed was coming out from behind a tree. She must have been hiding there. I sighed softly when I saw Ariadne make her way towards where I was with Alexandros. I noticed that she was angry, I would be too if I was attack by men like that:

“ you bastard, unhand her now, before I rip you apart”, she said….

“ careful sister, I still have your chosen girl, threaten me again and I will kill her!” I was shivering by now, but I was surprised to see Ariadne move her whip to attack Alexandros who caught it in time with his right hand while he held me with the other one, I tried to wriggle from him but he kicked me in the knee instead. I yelled out in pain while on the ground now,

“ please, it hurts” I cried out in pain

“  Sister, trend softly else you will lose her” , I saw Ariadne retract her whip, and I could see Alexandros hand bleeding ,but it started to heal in no time, I looked in awe, surprised:

“ surprised are we, little girl. I have the healing power unlike this two witches who use their witchcraft to heal themselves”, and as for you sister, you have been a bad girl for hurting me, an eye for and eye!, with that he used his already healed hand to break my arm,

I screamed in pain, while Ariadne and Lilian tried to make their way to me, but he stopped her when he brought out a dagger and held it at my throat,

“ Alexandros, stop all this rubbish,!” Ariadne yelled,

“ Oh, why now my dearest sister, there is more where that came from!” , and with that said he broke my right arm, I screamed again, “ please”, my face was wet from the tears, the pain was so much, I knew I would faint soon if he continued with this, “ please, please”  that’s all I could say. I looked up to see Ariadne hiss, she must be feeling helpless for not been able to save me from Alexandros. Lilian was crying too,

“ Alexandros, stop all this, stop it at once”

“ but why sister this is just about to get interesting”, He said

I felt the dagger moving down from my throat to my chest, Alexandros looked up and smiled devilishly, I knew he was up to no good, then I heard Ariadne say,

“ Alexandros, do not do that, I swear by the gods I will find you and destroy you if you do that!, Ariadne said, I did not understand what she meant until I felt a pain shooting throw my chest, he stabbed me!

“ Ahhhhhhhhhhhh”, and with that I give in to the darkness…………..

Ariadne P. O. V

I noticed Theseus was watching Ocean like a hawk after our first stop, and I know he must have ordered his man to do the same. After we got back in the carriage, Lilian offered ocean some fruit again, but she refused. She seemed really troubled, I tried to make small conversations with her but she just smiled and never said anything. I could only imagine how hard life must have been for her at the Athen, the mere sight of that place irritated me, not to talk of growing up there. I had been there once, because the overly ambitious slave master had invited me to dine with him and his father. I refused but he managed to convinced father who insisted that I honor his invitation, since he as one of the ministers. I knew his only intention was to make me marry his son. That old fool! But now I can only smile when I remember how I left a scar on his son face when he tried to force himself on me. I guess his father forgot to warn him of me for looks can be deceiving.

After a while, I explained something to her about crescent kingdom and our journey. Soon we stopped, the camp was set up, ocean still seemed sad, she seemed distanced, I walked up to her and tried to make her feel better, we made our way to the fire to eat supper, but she still refused to eat. Then Theseus tried to anger her with his talks, but instead she only broke down in tears. She stood up after he made his way to the woods, I asked her where she was going to and she told me it was to relieve herself. I offered to come with her and she refused, I sensed she only wanted some time to herself so I let her be.

I was asking Lilian for some water when I heard her scream, I threw the food away and ran towards the direction I saw her leave to. It took some time for me to find her and I saw Theseus there. He had the power of teleportation. I saw ocean been held up by Alexandros, he covered her mouth with his hands, while ocean was sobbing hard. Soon he sent his men to attack us, but Theseus teleport ed, leaving me and his man to fight them off, not that they were a real threat to me. I took out my whip and destroyed them, Alexandros would need to toughen up his men, they were a disgrace not that I care though. I killed the last of man and made my way to where Alexandros was, ocean was crying hard by now . So I notice Lilian had joined me, she had no fighting skills or power so she had to hide, she knew better than to wait.

Alexandros got angry when I tried to attack him with my whip and he broke Oceans knee, I had no choice but to retract my whip when she cried out pain. He broke both her arms then brought out a dagger, I threatened him but that only gave the fool more energy to stab her. I saw her body fall to the ground while I launched my whips at Alexandros, but he was gone. I saw her body on the ground looking lifeless and I rushed to her, Lilian hot on my trail.

“ get her inside the tent now”, I said while looking Theseus man, I saw his body on the ground, dead,

“ we need to get her in the tent now Lilian”, I said when I saw Lilian crying

“ yes my princess”, she said cleaning her face

We both carried her to the tent, once were in we undress her and checked her wounds. Her chest wound was bleeding uncontrollably, I saw Lilian rush to get some cloth to clean the wounds with.

“ hold this here”, I said putting the cloth on her chest wound, I took another cloth and dipped it in the water in a bowl, and cleaned her other wounds with it,

“ princess, you need to heal her” Lilian said to me,

“ you are right, but there is trouble. I cannot heal her alone I need Theseus here with me, she had too much deep wound.”

I saw Lilian looking confused as I was too, which begged the question, “Where is Theseus?”, I think for some time then looked at Lilian

“We need to do what we can and hope she survives” …………..

We changed the clothes and kept the wound clean, at mid night, she started to shiver, when I placed my hands on her forehead, she was hot….

“ she has a fever” I said

“ I will go and get some herbs from the chest, I brought some with me”

I smiled when she made her way out of the tent and came back in a while and made the herbs, I opened Oceans mouth while Lilian gave her the herb and some water……Where is my brother !, I said after pacing for some time. We continued till it was dawn, I heard a sound outside and knew instantly who was outside,

“ We need to keep going, if we are to meet the ship to cross” Theseus said while looking well rested

“ how nice of you to grace us with your presence now,” I said to him once I was out of the tent

“ I knew you could handle those men, my presence was not needed” Theseus said calmly

“ true Theseus but Ocean?”! Ariadne yelled

“ What”, Theseus asked

“you are so stupid brother”, the girl your wife…… remember now!

“ she is no wife of mine, Ariadne, she got what she deserved, Alexandros was only throwing a show, if not he would have killed her this is still their plan, sister. Lilian?

“ yes, my prince” Lilian answered

“ pack everything we are leaving when the sun rise” he ordered,  while walking away

“ you will do no such thing”, Theseus when did you become heartless, Alexandros did not kill her but he broke enough bones to kill her, you need to help me heal her

“   I would do no such thing,” he said scoffing when he heard me,

“Theseus, she is dying”!

“ well let her die, I do not care”! he said turning back

“I will not leave this place brother until we heal her” I said insisting

“you are being unreasonable brother,” please help me heal her, I begged him

“  never!, he said walking away

“Mother would have been disappointed if she could see you right now”, yes I used our mother against him, and he stopped and looked at me

“ Ariadne, we have to leave now”!, he said now shouting

“ no, just help me heal her and she can recover in the carriage,” please brother”

“why do you insist on helping this girl, why”, did she charm you ?, he asked

“brother, she does not have powers, and she has not done anything suspicious till now, help me heal her is all”

“I still want to kill her!”, he said scratching the back of his neck….

“lets go”, he said after sometime

We made our way to the tent and I could see Lilian packing up already, she rushed toward us and I told her to continue, she was not needed inside. I went in first while Theseus waiting hesitantly before coming in, he looked at the girl on the cloak, and I saw that he was shocked too y the state she was in.

“ hurry, she does not have much time” I said and we both moved closer to her, I took both Theseus hands into mine and we both breathe in and chanted……..This spell requires lots of energy that’s why only a few witches could do it. Theseus was strong so I would not have to use much of my energy. Soon I could hear her bones straightening back to the way it way before, then her chest wound healed. I could hear her coughing which tells me she was feeling better. I dropped his hands to feel her forehead, she was better,

“ she is healed” I said grinning happily at Theseus, who just grunt and walked out

“we leave once the maid is done”,I heard him say. i sighed relieved that we could save ocean life. Thank the gods

“ is she feeling better”, I looked up to see Lilian peeking in, while whispering

“yes,she is”

She sighed too, and smiled happily. ”you should pack before Theseus have your head”

She made her way out while I followed her out, when I heard a scream,

“ahhhhhhhhhhhhh,” she screamed in her slumber…… I ran back to the ground where she was while I placed her head on my lap. But I was baffles when I heard her murmuring, ………..help me , please……….then she started gasping for breath, after which she felt cold. She is dead!
