Several minutes later, Jace directed Germain along Route 3 to his favorite summer spot ten minutes outside Plattsburgh to Harrigan’s ice cream place. Jace said, “It’s one of my favorite places for soft ice cream to beat the heat. Hang on. I’ll be right back.” After buying the sweet treats Jace climbed back into the car and handed one of the ice creams to Germain. “Two large chocolate waffle cones.” “Thanks,” Germain mumbled. “This was a good idea.
