Chapter 6
Tony was having trouble keeping his brains between his ears. He couldn’t believe he’d done the Shakespeare thing in front of a crowd of strangers.
But it made Amy laugh. And he liked her laugh. A lot.
And her smile.
He chewed the inside of his cheeks as the waiter brought his change.
“Say, uh, Amy. I was wondering…well…”
“Yes?”
“I saw that the Lyric is showing a Monty Python double feature matinee. And Now for Something Completely Different and Life of Brian. I don’t have any more calls today. I wonder if I might could treat you to some popcorn and a Coke?”
He tried to discreetly wipe his palms on his jeans.
Amy’s face lit up with that smile again.
“Oh, I love Python! You’re on, big boy. But be warned. I can out-quote you with my eyes closed.”
His heart skipped a beat,
