Sophie’s heart clenched tight in her chest at the frightened look in Craig’s eyes.
“I don’t… I have no idea. The sheriffs are already out looking for her. Are there speakers here? Some kind of announcement system?”
“Nothing like that, but I can get us the next best thing. My cousins will have every kid in town who’s not at the haunted house gathered around.”
She was glad and more than a little touched that he held on to her hand and let her lead the way.
