ISABEL'S POV. Caleb walked ahead of me, his steps confident and quick, while mine were slower, weighed down by worry and self doubt as I tried to keep up. The ritual was coming, and my mind kept circling back to the scene in the kitchen. Marcy’s outburst. Erica’s smug look. The tension in the pack felt like a storm waiting to break, and somehow I can't help but feel like I was caught in the middle. Blood Moon needed it's alpha back. A pack can only survive for so long without it's alpha. “Izzy,” Caleb said softly, pulling me out of my thoughts. He stopped and turned to me, his expression hopeful. “Are you ready for this?” “I don’t know,” I admitted, my voice barely a whisper. “What if it doesn’t work? What if Erica’s right, and my bond with Leo isn’t strong enough, Caleb? I'm scared."
